I *heart* house music.

Just recently moved to austin, tx (atx). (updated: 1.5 years has passed)

Currently the closest thing to a house weekly I've found is get-broke @ Plush.
update: There's a few monthlys on weds nights at plush. Also every weds(or is it ever other) at peacock lounge, as well as every friday @ plush (move: house music weekly at plush yay!) I've pretty much determined that if Tego and/or Paco are in any way involved
with an event, it's pretty much garanteed to be a pro-vibe party.

Currently unemployed, ibm layoffs. w00t! Looking for a linux ninja? =)

I don't remember where I orginally posted this but it makes me miss Dallas.
"..seeing the trooper househeads (the same ones every damn time, and that's a good thing) at the end of the night, grooving until the end of the last track with smiling faces and their bodys covered in sweat"...

If you've emailed be anytime before ... well... now, chances are your email was lost to the

bit bucket. After 4 years, my vpr matrix finally went silently into the night.

Ok.. so not really silently as it caught the hard drive click of doom.

This all, after the screen went out a few weeks back.

So friday, being sick as a dog, I crawl from the couch to the computer manage to compose a semi

coherent email and send it to my whole team that I am in fact sick and not making it to work.

Weekend spent couch ridden, in state of funk.

Monday, I come to work to find my badge no longer works.

A call to a fellow team member gains me the knowledge that in fact I no longer have a job. Apparenlty I was

fired for a no call no show. (Side note: I've never been fired in my life. I certainly have never been a no call/no show kind of cat. It's just not how I do things. Never has been, never will be. ) I talk to said coworker, explain that I did in fact send an email and to which address I sent it to. We converse over what might have happened from a technical perspective. I worry that perhaps I have an email waiting in my client waiting to be "sent" at home. We chit chat for a bit longer, and part ways.

I get home and verify email was sent, and recv by hoovers mail server.

Monday afternoon, i forward the email I composed on friday to two addresses (one being another team member, and two being the broadcast address). If said fellow team member gets two emails then, the email I sent friday didn't make it at all. If he recv One email, then the email I sent friday was filtered out. Test results are in and apparently the address that broadcasts emails to my team filtered my email.

Tuesday, looking for job.

Even though apparently there are filters in place upon the broadcast address, which ( as far as I know ) no one was aware of, I know pretty much for a fact that if the manager who fired me knew this, his firing would still stand.
