IO Psych

I have known a guy who has been in a few of my classes. Last semester I saw him, he was hardly at class. This semester, we both were in IO Psych, and he was MIA until today, we had a presentation to do. I was surprised to see him. On break, I followed him and asked him if he's ok, wondering why he hasn't been to his classes. He had cancer when he was 19, he's only a young 20 something now, still a kid. The cancer came out of remission, and he's been recieving treatments.

He's such a nice kid, seems to have a pleasant personality. It was very sad to see him in the condition he was in, he doesn't look good. He didn't talk much about his illness, I'm thinking the worst.

May the Lord have mercy on his soul, and if it please the Lord to heal him, let it be.

Surgery--again!

My dear friend is going in for surgery on Thursday. She has not been well since a heart attack and surgery in October. I am worried. Please send your good thoughts and prayers her way. Thanks!

My Sci-Fi buddy

My friend had a heart attack months ago, and is still not doing well. She can't sit up for long periods of time; tries, but after an hour or so needs to lie down. I'm hoping this will pass soon. It bugs her to have to be cooped up in the house, she does go out occassionally to eat but has to go right home to bed. I hope she's ok; this is worrying me, as I've seen many folks have bypass surgery and recover much more quickly than she has.

Saw this ad, and asked Costello if I could post in my blog. It's funny, and the intention behind it is cool. The babies are not sold, but given away.

The Tragedy :o(
In the height of the Beanie Baby craze, many people bought barrels full of these lovable stuffed animals, thinking that someday they'd be "worth something". (they're not) So, instead of being loved and adored, these poor helpless babies are stuffed away in boxes and bags still shackled to their hang tags, never hugged, never loved. The biggest cruelties are inflicted on the babies that are forced into small clear plastic cubes, isolated and alone, doomed to live a life in "mint condition".

The Solution :o)
Don't let this horrific treatment continue. For Beanie Babies to become real stuffed animals they need to be treated like full-fledged stuffed animals. They need to be slept with, taken to tea parties and kept in big stuffed animal cuddle piles, where they can life out their life in peace.

Donate your bags of babies and we will find good loving homes for them where they will be treated with the dignity that stuffed animals deserve. These babies will never be sold or traded and all foster parents are screened.

My sister is officially............

My sister has officially been declared dead. She has had no blood going to her brain since early this morning. For the next several hours the staff will be running tests to see what can be used for organ donation. She's only 38, quite an unexpected thing to happen.
