rant on "no borders" hippies and flag burning

keep dreaming hippies. the world is a fucked up place. the only reason we have a good standard of living is because a group of radicals a few hundred years ago decided to take a stand. they decided to build a country that would be free of injustice and independent. some hypocrisy was involved, and still is, but isn't the over riding experience of most citizens. if we were to "tear down" the borders we would invite all the poverty, injustice, and strife that much of the world lives in to our homes. no matter what people will fight. war unfortunately is part of the human condition. we will always have haves and have nots. do you think we humans are that different from animals? do you think Darwinism doesn't apply to us? until we can left the standard of living for all people in the world to tear down the borders would be cultural suicide. i for one say build those walls as high as we can. add moats and barbed wire too. people of the world need decide enough is enough and stand up against corrupt governments. they must take steps to protect their own liberty. only then can we accept merging our cultures. when people desire education over power we can have peace. until then greed will rule, people will fight, and evil people will prosper.

now back to flag burning... i support our right to burn that flag. how many countries in the world can one crap on the national symbol? not many i bet. that is the liberty of which i speak. that is freedom. that is something we must be constantly vigilant about in our own country. how many people have read the constitution and the declaration of independence? they are two texts worth living by. many people in power in this nation don't understand it. it is our job to teach them. flag burning could and should be a part of that. i'll light one up myself. it's not an attack on my country. it is an attack on ignorance. it is a slap in the face of authoritarian values. it is to remind our leaders and the rest of the world that we are free men and women, and we will not be subjected to their tyranny of subjugation or depravity of poverty.

wow. i think that just hit a nerve. sorry for the rant guys.
