*thwunk* I opened my eyes and blearily flopped my head to the right to see from where that really odd noise was coming. Almost as it were a dream, a disembodied and wild-eyed head appeared between the flaps of my tent. Had a pretty good time despite the two friends who were supposed to join me for First Night in Annapolis had life smack them full on the kisser a couple days before the festivities. Still, in my new suit I stepped out and had a ball.
Gotta be honest, I'm feeling pretty down lately.

I never figured much of my state of mind was affected by the weather, then I remembered at Pennsic that I hadn't looked at the sky in months. Now, I rather miss the sky. Most of last week it was battleship grey, which never used to mean much, and actually reminded me of Drum.
