about me
I am 35 years old going on 16. I grew up in South Central Pennsyltucky. My parents divorced when I was 18.

My mother was stricken with Lupus in Summer 2007. She came out of the hospital in a wheelchair but is now able to walk with two canes.

I now have three cats. My tuxedo kitty named Hoover, my mini-cow with utters named Xena, and a kitten name Gabrielle. My old man Rainbow, who was 18 years old, died on 10/22/07; he was all black and best familiar a witch could ask for.

I am a liscensed English Teacher for grades 7-12. I used to work with mental health/mentally retarded children afterwards, I became a secretary, then I took care of my mother for a bit, was gainfully unemployed but now I work with children with Autism.

Insert shameless self-promotion here: I have professionally performed with: poi since October 2006, fire fans since October 2008, firehoop since December 2008. I also own a fire cane. I am also familiar with staff and rope dart. I am available for circuses , concerts, community outreach, festivals, parades, carnivals, birthdays, weddings, street fairs, conventions, Renaissance faires, sideshow, private promotions/private parties, raves, clubs, bars, art openings, poetry readings, photography, TV, movies, spiritual events, celebrations, hashes, etc. Please hire me to play with fire.

My Blog

I put some firespinning videos on You Tube. One is at the Mardi Gras street performance back in February. Two are our audition tapes to America's Got Talent. The rest are just various spin jam nights. If you'd like to take a look go to www.youtube.com. Click on the "channel" tab and search for mzcalamityjane. Eight of them should come up. Please let me know what you think.

That's right folks, Patchouli has stepped up to plate to help out all those homeless cats and dogs. I almost feel like it's the Pound back home at PDF. We help out the strays at PDF and now we are asking you to help out the strays that can't help themselves. Please, please, please take some time and check out our fund... read more

I'm doing the Penguin Plunge on City Island in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to benefit the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. Please, please, please take some time and check out my fundraising page and donate some money if you are able. I would greatly appreciate it and would give you a great big bear hug the next time I saw you. Who am I kidding? I'd give you a great big bear hug regardless! Okay...then...I'd give you...a back massage! One of the best if not THE BEST back massage!

Where will you be on November 1st? If it is any place but the Grand Witches Ball it's the wrong answer!

Check it out: highland-farm-community.org/ball08.html

It's only ten dollars. There will be a DJ, a costume contest, a feast, fire performances and a Samhain ritual. Stay for the night or the weekend and pitch a tent, bring a camper or crash with a pillow and a sleeping bag in the Mother Earth Coffee Nook.

I went last year and had a blast. You will also.
