about me
I'm a native Californian, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently living in Hollywood. I love L.A., but I love San Francisco just as much. They're both beautiful cities with so much history. I enjoy exploring L.A., looking at historical landmarks, and finding places I never knew existed. My hair color is constantly changing, like a mood ring. It varies from pink to purple to silver to white to blue to black. I love unnatural-colored hair dye and I usually custom-blend my own shades. I'm a punk rocker, a goth, and a hippie chick all at the same time. If you don't think that's possible, hang out with me for a while and you'll see. I'm nothing like the majority of women my age. I'd describe myself as "unique," or "weird-in-a-good-way."

Los Angeles is Burning (blog entry) Somewhere high in the desert near a curtain of a blue
St. Anne's skirts are billowing
But down here in the city of limelights
The fans of Santa Ana are withering
And you can’t deny that living is easy
If you never look behind the scenery

Dead Can Dance (blog entry) Screw the Love Parade. If I’d gone away this weekend I wouldn’t have been able to see Dead Can Dance. They were fucking amazing. By the third song I was in tears, because the music was so powerful. And the Hollywood Bowl was so beautiful – I’d... read more

<TD>Very impressive; you are in the highest category of LA knowledge. You have obviously spent a good percentage of your life sitting in traffic, but you are still happy knowing that you live in one of the best climates anywhere in the United States. You make a great host to your out-of-town friends and family because you can show them a great... read more

The fans of Santa Ana are withering
And you can’t deny that living is easy
If you never look behind the scenery
It's showtime for dry climes
And bedlam is dreaming of rain.

When the hills of Los Angeles are burning
Palm trees are candles in the murder wind
So many lives on the breeze
Even the stars are ill at ease
And Los Angeles is burning.

Screw the Love Parade. If I’d gone away this weekend I wouldn’t have been able to see Dead Can Dance. They were fucking amazing. By the third song I was in tears, because the music was so powerful. And the Hollywood Bowl was so beautiful – I’d never been there before. I live close enough that I was able to walk there, too, so I didn’t have to hassle with parking or traffic. The female vocalist has such an amazing voice – God, I’d kill for a voice like that. The male vocalist is just as... read more

The Move (XM 80) did a 5-hour live broadcast from the Love Parade in San Francisco today. The Love Parade is an annual event featuring live dj sets and performances by some of the world’s biggest dj’s and electronic bands. The first Love Parade was in Berlin in 1989, right after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Since then it has moved all around the world, and in 2004 it came to the U.S. for the first time, to San Francisco. It sounds a lot like the Winter Music Conference in Miami, another h... read more

Okay, screw it. Life is short and it goes by so fast. Life happens, and the next thing you know it’s a distant memory. You only get one chance to get it right, and if you don’t, tough shit. There are no second chances. Life just goes on. I’ve already wasted too much precious time waiting for things that never happened. Then I spent even more precious time grieving over what never was. I don’t want to do that anymore. What’s done is done, and I have no idea what could happen tomorrow.... read more
