Captain Verinon's Personal Log

"ROSE" Parts 1 and 2 are done!

So, you may have heard about how I've been writing a novel called "Rose" for almost a year now. Well, when all is said and done, the book will have three parts. I have now finished Parts 1 and 2 (mostly), so now is the time to ask for a copy! It is a 170 page MS Word document. My email is: verinon1@yahoo.com

Here is a teaser to get you started:

"Rose is a fifteen year old girl in suburban America in 1999, trying to cope with the fact that she can't relate to anyone else in the world.

On her first day of high school, however, she sees a boy that apparently no one else can see. So she is faced with a question: Is the boy real or imaginary?

Over time, he tells Rose things about his past and her future that may change her life forever.

And so begins Rose's journey of mystery, suspense, fantasy, love, and sacrifice. A Moment in Time begins... "

first day of hslooc - note: work on spelling

okay, so today was my first day of college (community college, but whatever). it was pretty damn cool, i handled things well. nothing went seriously wrong, besides a lot of bored waiting around, but we'll get to that. here's how the day went, in chronological whachamacallit:

In the morning, i was supposed to be driven by my mom, but that fell through when we realized we didn't have one (Greg had it at work). So we tried to see if i could take the bus, but the next one that ran would have made me late to class, so we went to plan C: get a ride from somebody to get the car back and drive to CR. which we did.

10:00 AM - 11:25 AM - GS150 - Learning Success
My first class is sort of a place where you learn to go to college. basically, you stack blocks together and identify dinosaur shapes in coloring books while drawing happy rainbows with unicorns flying through them, and vast oceans stretch on as far as the eye can see. okay, well it's not THAT exciting...

11:25AM - 2:00 PM
This is the part of the day where I have nothing to do between classes - for two and half hours! If any of you are free to hang out at the library at CR in this time, please let me know! I need some company or i'll end up rolling on the floor screaming "IM HERE! LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!!!"

2:00 PM - 3:10 PM - ENGL350 - English 350 (duh)
This is my main class, it's worth 6 units. in laymen speak, that means a shitload of homework. luckily, english is my strong suit (i have to have some sort of skills to be writing a book, right?), so i'm not afraid of failing or anything.

3:10 PM - 3:30 PM
This is where i traverse the length of the school to get to my next class...

3:30 PM - 6:25 PM - ART17 - Do i need to list the full name? really?
you read right, this is a two and a half hour class. luckily, i know one person out of all my classes: Christi, and she's in my art class! haven't seen her since graduation day (i think). so yeah, art is a fun class. basically, if i try hard, i dont have to worry about my grade. i took this class so i can learn to draw well enough to make my own storyboards (for movies, specificaly, the one of my novel).

6:25 PM - 7:50 PM
i got out of class and went as fast as i could to the bus stop (for that was how i was to get home), but when i checked the schedule for the bus i needed, it said that the last bus arrived right when i got out of class, and the next one was 10:45....10:45....no you don't get it: 10:45. you know how bullshit that is? to have no CR bus running back to valley west for FOUR HOURS? so, i called my mom for a ride home. cue more bored waiting. so now, i need to leave art class ten minutes or so before is normal so i can catch the bus. if any of you can give me a ride home at 6:25 from CR (i'll give you gas money), please say so!

so yeah, that's how it went. hope to see more of you all there!
