The weekend of dinners

<div>I ate very well, this whole weekend. Friday (My anniversary)saw me ditch the AOC, right after getting home and taking Tweezy to dinner and a movie (Burn After Reading. The pork loin Tweezy had was good enough to have her reproduce the same style recipe for the next night's dinner.

The brother in law, his wife and our buddy Nina came over and we had a fine time.It is good to see Nina. She does not always make it to this side of the bay, so we like to give her proper reward for her efforts.

Sunday morning we were a little cracked out. Lots of time in bed with kitties. We were still a little tired when we headed to a dinner party in the City, but the company perked us up, it seems.
Again with the fabulous dinner! A guy could get used to this sort of thing. I do feel a bit guilty about ditching the AOC for most of the weekend. The best way to fix this is pretty simply to plan to take them out this weekend. So there we go. Problem solved</div>

    </a>
<div>15 years ago, I somehow conned Tweezy into saying "I do". Not entirely sure how. I guess she was still young and foolish, back then.

I cannot say I would not change a thing. I cannot say it was easy or that there were not many rough moments, but I would not take it back for the world. We have grown and walked through the fires with each other.

We have gone through 2 AOC, broken the "anniversary curse", experienced countless moments of joy and pain, but through it all I always have someone who knows me. (Sometimes, better then I know myself)
I would mostly like to express my gratitude for ...
too many things to mention. I would not really know where to start, so I will sum it all up as best as I can:

Thank you for being my hunny. Thank you for being my better half, my companion in craziness, my muse and the source of my strength. </div>

I'd like to thank all the cool peoplez I have met through this damn web site. After being told to log in here 3 years ago, I finally agreed to do so for technical help ( which I did not get , but that is another story) and then sorta stuck around. Maybe I am jumping the gun and things will be fine, but I do not want it all to have ended without at least saying goodbye to the masses.

So here is hoping I am posting this for no reason and a suitable employee or employees are hired to right the ship.

<div>I have evidently given Tweezy more then 30 cards, in the last couple of years. In fact, let's just put the number at 33. I know this because I just secret a few away. When the time comes, I will write something I hope is sweet and put one under a pillow, under the screen of the laptop, in in a purse or some location she will find reasonably soon. my theory is that it is a little better to give then randomly, instead of being relegated to commercially designated holidays.

So the albums come in the mail yesterday and I secret them to the back room and start putting the cards in. Alas, but she walks in on me before I can finish. It was still a surprise, right?

<div>Monday sucked in a really bad way. I did manage to pick up the lil AOC from camp Winnnaranbow. She had a fabulous time. All she had to do is play and try to be as cool as possible. Sounds a bit like heaven for her. I did a couple hours of painting and heard sad news after I was done for the day.

There is a member of a community that I am nestling into who passed, over the weekend. I barely knew him. The good and bad of it is that my only memories of him will be of him smiling, laughing, hugging or feeding people treats during camp outs. So while I realize that is only a facet of who he was, it is a pretty damn good facet.

There have been emails flooding about him and one can feel the sadness. So between that and the chaos of very bad servers at work, I was pretty much in Hell. It wasn't until about 7:30 that I finally started turning it around.

The bright spots were just what I needed. I got some good mail. Tweezy gave me muscle relaxants and a beer and then I went to sleep before 10:30 with only a slight detour in bed. Here is hoping today is better still.</div>

<div>I will post something about the friend's photo blocking soon, really.

BUT. The weekend was pretty damn good. A lil much needed rest. A lot of eating. Yesterday, I went out with Maude on the Ferry. Just my brood and her. We saw the sights, we ate crab and saltwater taffy. We wandered around like tourists. And to cap it all off, we went to a friend's house for BBQ after. Not only was the company delightful, not only was the food delicious, the art throughout his house was inspiring.

I get this way sometimes. It is like I see an unattainable goal, but I want to see how close I can get. I saw paintings, the skill of which I doubt I can duplicate. I do want to try, anyway. Here is hoping I get to sling a lil paint around, this Summer.

<div>So, you know when some pervert on your friend's list posts one of "those" pictures? Not that you do not find the idea of raping dead lawyers funny, but it is not exactly the thing you want your coworkers to see on your computer. So what I want is one photo. One singular picture we can all post at times like these. It will be funny to look through people's photos and see how many times they went to their friend's rescue, plus, every time you see it, you will know that one of your friends has a pervert for a friend. Heck, maybe that very same pervert will see it.

So submit the one photo that you think would be funny for everyone to use to get rid of the NSFW pic on your "My Friend's Photos". Maybe we can vote on the winner and distribute it to as many people as we can.

Just a thought.</div>

<div>Remy died, yesterday. Out of the first 4 frogs I got, 3 have died since we got the last green mantella. So while I am still not 100% sure he is the cause, I have decided to take him back to the vivarium. I hope this will save my last frog, Ffizi.
Then it will only be a matter of waiting until they get more painted mantellas and sticking to the same breed in one tank.
I do not know if the new guy was actively attacking the other frogs or if he was poisonous to them. Either way, I do not want to take any chances.

If anyone wants to pick up a poison dart for free, PM me. It is a green mantella.
Remember that this "free" frog will most likely end up costing at least $100 for a terrarium, dirt, moss, heating elements, flies or crickets and associated accessories.</div>

<div>20 years ago, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" opened. Some crazy guy took this girl he was sort of pervy for on their first date.
There was some making out followed by a long ride throughout Oakland in the bed of her brother's pickup truck. When I say "throughout Oakland" I mean around the lake, up and down the various levels of a parking garage or two and a bit of here and there thrown in.

Pets, were petted (heavily), kisses were had and "other" things somehow manifested...

Obviously, it was the movie, right? I mean, would we have still been together if we went to see "The Toxic Avenger"?</div>

<div>Raging waters, that is. Yes, I ended up tagging along with a mob of crazies. I took the lil AOC, while Tweezy and the big AOC got all prettied up. The AOC was due to attend a prom in SF and was taking her girlfriend and best friend. So naturally, she had to pick up the tux, get the mani-pedi/eyebrow wax, do the hair, etc etc (I was pleased the tux rental place did not bat an eyelash at the blue dye, around the collar)

The Prom seemed to have gone well. I completely exhausted the lil one at the water slides (not to mention myself) and even managed to find my "mob" at the park.

So Sunday was mostly recovering. A long nap and we finally finished watching the 1st season of "Dexter". We have been hooked like a hanging piece of meat . Can't wait for season 2 to come out on DVD.

That's all. Move along, there is nothing to see here.

It was all fixed, this afternoon so I look forward to catching up tomorrow.
