I'm the artist for the "self-published comic book" Rachel mentions and I've been working with her --and, by extension, her partner on the project, Ruben Caldwell-- for about a year now. She's a thoroughly professional, wholly committed (and when she's too critical of my artwork, I think that's just what they should do to her, commit her! No, wait, uhh, ....sorry, lost my train of thought for a moment, -*- now, where was I? Oh, yeah,---) individual who manages to maintain the vision/goals she's set for herself no matter how thick and furious the obstacles may become, or how severe and constant the pressures.
At the same time, however, Rachel is also a wonderfully warm, spontaneously giving person, someone whom anyone else would be blessed to have as a friend.
A truly sharp wit possessed of a subversive and hilarious sense of humor at times, this is one human being who's going to accomplish something BIG in her lifetime, wait and see!

Contrary to Einsteins theory of general relativity, Rachel has amazingly perfected a formula for literally doing EVERYTHING AT ONCE. Hmm...perhaps I shall invent for her a pair of prosthetic mechanical arms, so that she may do even more fantastic things...

I worked on site at Gilda's Club Westchester from the end of February through March, and a little bit on-line in the beginning of April.
I had the opportunity to write new copy based on notes, ideas and attending events; as well as revise, expand and rewrite staff notes and article bits. Then, I worked with the graphic designer to help get the thing put together. I got kudos from all. It was a good experience ... and I got paid!
