Production will start next month and the factory will run 24 hours a day, producing more than 1 000 panels a day to meet expected demand. Another large German solar company is negotiating with the South African inventors for rights to the technology, while a South African consortium of businesses are keen to build local factories. The new, highly efficient and cheap alloy solar panel is much more efficient than the costly old silicone solar panels. International experts have admitted that nothing else comes close to the effectiveness of the South African invention. The South African solar panels consist of a thin layer of a unique metal alloy that converts light into energy. The photo-responsive alloy can operate on virtually all flexible surfaces, which means it could in future find a host of other applications. Alberts said the new panels are approximately five microns thick (a human hair is 20 microns thick) while the older silicon panels are 350 microns thick. the cost of the South African technology is a fraction of the less effective silicone solar panels. Alberts said in Switzerland it was already compulsory for all new houses to include solar technology to lessen energy demands on national grids. "And that was the older, less effective technology. With our hours of sunlight, we will on average generate twice as much energy than, for instance, European countries." While South African scientists developed and patented the new, super-effective alloy solar panels, other companies have developed new, super-efficient storage batteries and special converters to change the energy into the power source of a particular country (220 volts in South Africa). Eskom spokesperson Carin de Villiers said any new power supply that lessened the load on Eskom was to be welcomed. She said Eskom was also doing its own research on solar energy. "In fact, we are currently investigating building what will probably be the largest solar power plant, in the Northern Cape - a 100-megawatt facility." She added that Eskom was also researching wind and fuel-cell technology as alternative energy sources. Along with the looming dangers of climate change, the urgency of alternatives to CO2 emitting energy sources is becoming more obvious by the day. One of the most important actions to counter these challenges is the establishment of alternative energy sources such as solar energy. Latest research by South African scientists have taken us one step further to realising these goals. Solar power Solar power has traditionally been differentiated into solar thermal and solar photovoltaic (or PV for short) systems. The photo-voltaic effect is a phenomenon that depends on quantum physics, and allows specific materials to directly convert solar radiation to electricity. The photo-voltaic effect is used in solar panels, that have been powering spacecraft for decades and have recently been making their presence felt in supplying electricity to free-standing locations on earth, like telephone towers and pump systems on farms. However, the panels available commercially today are almost all based on high-purity silicon as the photo-voltaic material, and these panels are much more expensive than the equivalent amount of coal, petrol or gas. The only way to make photovoltaic energy more widely used, is to make devices (including solar panels) that are much cheaper than the current silicon-based devices. The most promising PV material identified to date is Copper-Indium-Gallium-Diselenide (CIGS). CIGS is much more efficient than silicon at converting incident sunlight into an electric current: Less than one micron of CIGS absorbs more than 99% of available incident solar energy, compared to 350 microns of silicon to do the same job. Despite the excitement around CIGS, significant cost savings compared to silicon were not achieved, despite 20 years of research. However, a new development has made the picture considerably brighter. Cost-saving CIGS solar panels Prof Vivian Alberts of the Department of Physics at the Rand Afrikaans University in South Africa and team have developed and patented a novel manufacturing technique that finally makes it possible to construct CIGS solar panels at a very low cost. The method is easily upscalable to industrial output levels, while remaining much cheaper to produce than conventional silicon solar panels. Work done over the last two years indicates that panels can be produced in commercial volumes at a cost of about R 500 for a 50 Watt panel. This is much cheaper than existing solar panels available on the market. CIGS is a remarkably stable material and conversion efficiencies should be sustainable for 15-20 years in any given panel. RAU physicists are currently collaborating with physicists from the University of Port Elizabeth and the University of Pretoria to make 20 Watt CIGS panels, thanks to an award by the Innovation Fund in the national Department of Science and Technology during 2003. The award, in the amount of R 13,2 million, has been used to construct a pilot assembly facility on the RAU campus (with more than R 2 million of top-up funds added by RAU management). The two main components of the facility are a state-of-the-art sputtering instrument and a state-of-the-art diffusion oven. The former was designed by Leybold Optics of Dresden, Germany, and the latter by Wilro Technologies in the Netherlands. Both these instruments were designed according to Prof Alberts' unique and novel specifications and are, at the moment, the only examples of their kind in the world. They also constitute the best combination of instruments of this kind in the world at present. Benefits This patented technology has caused great excitement across a broad front of stakeholders, since it promises to bring the practical cost of applying solar photovoltaic systems for electricity production down to a level comparable to coal-fired or nuclear technologies. Furthermore, the technology contributes nothing to carbon dioxide emissions and consumes only the resources used to manufacture the solar panels (the metals copper, indium and gallium and the non-metal selenium). These materials could in principle all be recycled into new panels at the end of the useful lifetime of a panel, since no material whatsoever is consumed. The finite lifetime (15-20 years) of a panel is simply due to deterioration of the crystal structure over time. The energy used to make a panel is recovered within 1-2 years of operation, beyond which a further 13-18 years of net energy production remain. There is no vulnerability to disruptions in fuel supply, since sunlight is the fuel consumed. In addition, solar photovoltaic technology can be produced in any desired amount, from a few milliwatts to many megawatts, if so desired. It is not necessary to erect large power stations to serve a community with energy from this technology. There’s no telling who was behind the bombing of the al-Askariya Mosque. There were no security cameras at the site and it’s doubtful that the police will be able to perform a thorough forensic investigation. That’s too bad; the bomb-residue would probably provide clear evidence of who engineered the attack. So far, there’s little more to go on than the early reports of four men (three who were dressed in black, one in a police uniform) who overtook security guards at the mosque and placed the bombs in broad daylight. It was a bold assault that strongly suggests the involvement of highly-trained paramilitaries conducting a well-rehearsed plan. Still, that doesn’t give us any solid proof of what groups may have been involved. The destruction of the Samarra shrine, also known as the Golden Mosque, has unleashed a wave of retaliatory attacks against the Sunnis. Overnight, more than 110 people were reported killed by the rampaging Shia. More than 90 Sunni mosques have been either destroyed or badly damaged. In Baghdad alone, 47 men have been found scattered throughout the city after being killed execution-style with a bullet to the back of the head. The chaos ends a week of increased violence following two major suicide bombings directed against Shia civilians that resulted in the deaths of 36 people. The public outrage at the desecration of one of the country’s holiest sights has reached fever-pitch and its doubtful that the flimsy American-backed regime will be able to head-off a civil war. It is difficult to imagine that the perpetrators of this heinous attack couldn’t anticipate its disastrous effects. Certainly, the Sunni-led resistance does not benefit from alienating the very people it is trying to enlist in its fight against the American occupation. Accordingly, most of the prominent Sunni groups have denied involvement in the attack and dismissed it as collaboration between American and Iranian intelligence agencies. A communiqué from “The Foreign Relations Department of the Arab Ba’ath Socialist Party” denounced the attack pointing the finger at the Interior Ministry’s Badr Brigade and American paramilitaries. The Ba’ath statement explains: “America is the main party responsible for the crime of attacking the tomb of Ali al-Hadi…because it is the power that occupies Iraq and has a basic interest in committing it.” “The escalation of differences between America and Iran has found their main political arena in Iraq, because the most important group of agents of Iran is there and are able to use the blood of Iraqis and the future of Iraq to exert pressure on America. Iran has laid out a plan to embroil America in the Iraqi morass to prevent it from obstructing Iran’s nuclear plans. Particularly since America is eager to move on to completing arrangements for a withdrawal from Iraq, after signing binding agreements on oil and strategy. America believes that without the participation of “Sunni” parties in the regime those arrangements will fail. For that reason ‘cutting Iran’s claws’ has become one of the important requirements for American plans. This is what Ambassador Zalmay spoke of recently when he declared that no sectarian would take control of the Ministries of the Interior or Defense. Similarly, America has begun to publish information that it formally kept hidden regarding the crimes of the Badr Brigade and the Interior Ministry.” Whether the communiqué is authentic is incidental; the point is well taken. The escalating violence may prevent Iraq from forming a power-sharing government which would greatly benefit the Shia majority and their Iranian allies. Many critics agree that what is taking place Iraq represents a larger struggle between the United States and Iran for regional domination. This theory, however, is at odds with the response of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following the bombing. Khamenei said, “The occupation forces and Zionism, which seeing their plans dissolve, have planned this atrocity to sew hate between Muslims and fuel divisions between Sunnis and Shiites….Do not fall into the enemy trap by attacking mosques and sacred places of your Sunni brothers….The enemy wants nothing more than weakening of the Islamis front right as Muslims with a single voice have been protesting against the continual provocations of their enemies.” The belief that the attack was the work of American and Israeli covert-operations (Black-ops) is widespread throughout the region as well as among leftist political-analysts in the United States. Journalist Kurt Nimmo sees the bombing as a means of realizing “a plan sketched out in Oded Yinon’s “A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties” (the balkanization of Arab and Muslim society and culture.) Nimmo suggests that the plan may have been carried out by “American, British or Israeli Intelligence operatives or their double-agent Arab lunatics, or crazies incited by Rumsfeld’s Proactive Preemptive Operations Group (P2OG) designed to ‘stimulate’ terrorist reaction.” Nimmo is not alone in his judgment. Other prominent analysts including, Pepe Escobar, Ghali Hassan, AK Gupta, Dahr Jamail, and Christian Parenti all agree that the Bush administration appears to be inciting civil war as part of an exit strategy. Certainly, the Pentagon is running out of options as well as time. Numerous leaked documents have confirmed that significant numbers of troops will have to be rotated out of the theatre by summer. A strategy to foment sectarian hostilities may be the last desperate attempt to divert the nearly 100 attacks per day away from coalition troops and finalize plans to divide Iraq into more manageable statlets. The division of Iraq has been recommended in a number of documents that were prepared for the Defense Department. The Rand Corporation suggested that “Sunni, Shiite and Arab, non-Arab divides should be exploited to exploit the US policy objectives in the Muslim world.” The 2004 study titled “US Strategy in the Muslim World” was to identify key cleavages and fault-lines among sectarian, ethnic, regional, and national lines to assess how these cleavages generate challenges and opportunities for the United States.” (Abdus Sattar Ghazali; thanks Liz Burbank) This verifies that the strategy to split up Iraq has been circulating at the top levels of government from the very beginning of the occupation. A similar report was produced by David Philip for the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC) financed by the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation a conservative think-tank with connections to the Bush administration and the American Enterprise Institute. According to Pepe Escobar: “The plan would be ‘sold’ under the admission that the recently elected, Shi’ite dominated Jaafari government is incapable of controlling Iraq and bringing the Sunni-Arab guerillas to the negotiating table. More significantly, the plan is an exact replica of an extreme right-wing Israeli plan to balkanize Iraq—an essential part of the balkanization of the whole Middle East.” Is the bombing of the Golden Mosque the final phase of a much broader strategy to inflame sectarian hatred and provoke civil war? Clearly, many Sunnis, Iranians, and political analysts seem to believe so. Even the Bush administration’s own documents support the general theory that Iraq should be broken up into three separate pieces. But, is this proof that the impending civil war is the work of foreign provocateurs? The final confirmation of Washington’s sinister plan was issued by Leslie Gelb, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, in a New York Times editorial on 11-25-03. The CFR is the ideological headquarters for America’s imperial interventions providing the meager rationale that papers-over the massive bloodletting that inevitably follow. Gelb stated: “For decades, the United States has worshipped at the altar of a unified Iraqi state. Allowing all three communities within that false state to emerge at least as self-governing regions would be both difficult and dangerous. Washington would have to be very hard-headed and hard-hearted, to engineer this breakup. But such a course is manageable, even necessary, because it would allow us to find Iraq’s future in its denied but natural past.” There you have it; the United States is only pursuing this genocidal policy for ‘Iraq’s own good’. Media blackout shadows why black op soldiers were arrested Paul Joseph Watson | September 20 2005 In another example of how the Iraqi quagmire is deliberately designed to degenerate into a chaotic abyss, British SAS were caught attempting to stage a terror attack and the media have dutifully shut up about the real questions surrounding the incident. What is admitted is that two British soldiers in Arab garb and head dress drove a car towards a group of Iraq police and began firing. According to the Basra governor Mohammed al-Waili, one policeman was shot dead and another was injured. Pictured below are the wigs and clothing that the soldiers were wearing. The Arab garb is obviously undeniable proof that the operation, whatever its ultimate intention, was staged so that any eyewitnesses would believe it had been carried out by Iraqis. This has all the indications of a frame up. This is made all the more interesting by the fact that early reports cited as originating from BBC World Service radio stated that the car used contained explosives. Was this another staged car bombing intended to keep tensions high? As you will discover later, the plan to keep Iraq divided and in turmoil is an actual policy directive that spans back over two decades. The BBC reports that the car did contain, "assault rifles, a light machine gun, an anti-tank weapon, radio gear and medical kit. This is thought to be standard kit for the SAS operating in such a theatre of operations." And are fake bushy black wigs and turbans standard kit for the SAS? What happened to the early reports of explosives? Why has the media relentlessly reported on the subsequent rescue effort and failed to address these key questions? The soldiers were arrested and taken to a nearby jail where they were confronted and interrogated by an Iraqi judge. The initial demand from the puppet authorities that the soldiers be released was rejected by the Basra government. At that point tanks were sent in to 'rescue' the terrorists and the 'liberated' Iraqis started to riot, firebombing and pelting stones at the vehicles injuring British troops as was depicted in this dramatic Reuters photo. As the SAS were being rescued 150 prisoners escaped from the jail. Was this intentional or just a result of another botched black op? From this point on media coverage was monopolized by accounts of the rescue and the giant marauding pink elephant in the living room, namely why the soldiers were arrested in the first place, was routinely ignored. The only outlet to ask any serious questions was Australian TV news which according to one viewer gave, "credibility to the 'conspiracy theorists' who have long claimed many terrorist acts in Iraq are, in fact, being initiated and carried out by US, British and Israeli forces." Iran's top military commander Brigadier General Mohammad-Baqer Zolqadr pointed the finger at the occupational government last week by publicly stating, “The Americans blame weak and feeble groups in Iraq for insecurity in this country. We do not believe this and we have information that the insecurity has its roots in the activities of American and Israeli spies,” Zolqadr said. “Insecurity in Iraq is a deeply-rooted phenomenon. The root of insecurity in Iraq lies in the occupation of this country by foreigners”. “If Iraq is to become secure, there will be no room for the occupiers”. That explanation has a lot of currency amongst ordinary Iraqis who have been direct witnesses to these bombings. In the past we’ve asked questions about why so-called car bombings leave giant craters, in addition with eyewitness reports that helicopters were carrying out the attacks. Throughout history we see the tactic of divide and conquer being used to enslave populations and swallow formerly sovereign countries by piecemeal. From the British stirring up aggression between different Indian tribes in order to foment division, to modern day Yugoslavia where the country was rejecting the IMF and world bank takeover before the Globalists broke it up and took the country piece by piece by arming and empowering extremists. And so to Iraq, New York Times November 25th 2003, Leslie Gelb of the Council on Foreign Relations writes, "To put most of its money and troops where they would do the most good quickly - with the Kurds and Shiites. The United States could extricate most of its forces from the so-called Sunni Triangle, north and west of Baghdad.... American officials could then wait for the troublesome and domineering Sunnis, without oil or oil revenues, to moderate their ambitions or suffer the consequences." Gelb argues for allowing the rebellion to escalate in order to create a divided Iraq. And in 1982, Oded Yinon, an official from the Israeli Foreign Affairs office, wrote: "To dissolve Iraq is even more important for us than dissolving Syria. In the short term, it's Iraqi power that constitutes the greatest threat to Israel. The Iran-Iraq war tore Iraq apart and provoked its downfall. All manner of inter-Arab conflict help us and accelerate our goal of breaking up Iraq into small, diverse pieces." So if the plan is to keep the different sects at each others' throats then who benefits from the chaos created by the endless bombings? President Bush's slip of the tongue when he stated, "it'll take time to restore chaos and order -- order out of chaos, but we will" seems less farcical in this light. Plans for 4,000 NATO troops to replace US troops in Afghanistan will likely be mirrored in Iraq and the country will be used as a launch pad for the coming invasions of Syria and Iran. It is certain that any reports coming out of Iraq accusing occupational forces of being behind car bombings will be brutally censored. The Pentagon admitted before the war that independent journalists would be military targets and since then we've seen more journalists killed in Iraq over two and a half years than the entire seven year stretch of US involvement in Vietnam. In many cases, such as that of Mazen Dana, an acclaimed hero who was killed after filming secret US mass graves, journalists are hunted down and executed because they record something that the occupational government doesn't want to reach the wider world. Italian journalist Giuliana Sgrena's car was fired upon and an Italian secret service agent killed after Sgrena was told by the group that kidnapped her that a threat to kill her if Italian troops didn't pull out of Iraq wasn't made by them. This means that Rumsfeld's Ministry of Truth in Iraq is putting out false statements by fake Jihad groups to try and maintain the facade that the resistance is run by brutal terrorists under the direction of Al-Qaeda/Iran/Syria or whoever else they want to bomb next. Every high profile kidnapping brings with it eyewitness reports of white men in suits and police carrying out the abductions. Many will find it hard to believe that ordinary soldiers would have it in them to carry out such brutal atrocities. The people carrying out these acts are not ordinary soldiers, they are SAS thugs who have been told that they have to be 'more evil than the terrorists' to defeat the terrorists. This is how they morally justify to themselves engaging in this criminal behavior. We will update this story as and when new developments take place.

BYU Physics Professor Steven Jones Packs Lecture Hall and Overflow Rooms On 9/11 Big Lie, WTC Controlled Demolition

The 150-seat auditorium was filled to capacity, with every seat occupied, and people sitting in the aisles from the stage floor to the back of the room. Video cameras on tripods lined the back row. Two documentary-film crews were in attendance, in addition to the school’s camera crew, and various independent journalists. Seven “spill-over” rooms, with seating for 40-50 each, were also filled to capacity. On this very conservative campus (in the most conservative county in the most conservative state in the union), where community leaders pulled out all the stops in 2004 to prevent Michael Moore from speaking as part of his anti-Bush, pro-Kerry “Slacker Uprising Tour,” Dr. Steven Jones, this pious professor from the Mormon Church-owned Brigham Young University, calmly, gently, gave a simple physics lesson on the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, the implications of which awed the audience with a sense of world-historical significance, and implied an indictment of the present administration so utterly devastating that it made Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 look like a Bush apologia. Dr. Jones argues that the physics behind the government’s explanation of the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11 do not make sense, and that a better (and perhaps only) explanation for their collapse was that they were demolished, exactly the way structural engineers bring down large buildings, by pre-positioned explosive devices set off in precise sequences. He argues that the 650 degree Celsius temperature of burning jet fuel would not have been hot enough to even bend the steel girders of the WTC Towers, let alone to melt or evaporate them, as recovered beams indicate. And even if it was hot enough to evaporate the steel, the towers should not have collapsed as they did, pancaking so perfectly into their own footprints. On the rare times when such structures have failed (always due to earthquakes), they have toppled over sideways. The towers would have had to have been perfectly sliced, at every point along a horizontal plane at exactly the same instant, for something even resembling a pancaking effect to occur. And even if they did somehow pancake perfectly into their own footprints due to a structural failure, they would not have done it in the time it took for them to collapse, falling at essentially the speed of an apple dropped from the top of one of the towers, with nothing between it and the ground but thin air. The steel and concrete in the floors that collapsed should have taken some measurable time to break, and thus slowed the collapse somewhat as it unfolded. And even if it did collapse, at super speed, phwack phwack phwack, floor by floor, as fast as an apple falling through the air, impelled by the weight of the decapitated structure above it, its solid steel frame severed like a head by a flaming guillotine, that does not explain the molten steel seen at the Ground Zero clean-up site many days after the event. What could have caused such heat? asked Professor Jones. And on it went, point by point, for almost two hours. Nothing about the physics of “what we know” about 9/11 seemed to add up. And all that’s not to mention the mysterious collapse of the forgotten WTC-7, the third steel-frame building that imploded due to fire, not only that day, but in the history of architectural design--the building that was not hit by a plane, that was surrounded by other buildings equally impacted but structurally undamaged by the collapse of the towers, that, with no jet fuel or violent impact, but allegedly due to a small number of scattered “debris fires,” collapsed, pancaking perfectly into its own footprint, looking exactly like video images of buildings being demolished by pre-positioned explosive devices. Playing the one available video of WTC-7 collapsing at slow speed, Dr. Jones used his laser pointer to indicate the explosive “squibs” clearly seen shooting their way up the sides of the building as it collapsed from the top center down. He showed still images of similar micro-explosions on the sides of the Twin Towers, with steel beams clearly visible, ejected out of the sides of the buildings, ahead of the dust, blown out before the above portions collapsed. It is a devastating presentation, and one could feel the disequilibrium of 150 minds reeling at once. The defining moment of contemporary American experience suddenly lost its definition. What is the meaning of 9/11? What really happened that day? If these things are true, the implications clearly point to some kind of “inside job” involving the government of the United States of America. (The Department of Defense, the FBI, and the CIA all had offices in the mysteriously collapsed WTC-7. Is it reasonable that outside terrorists could have infiltrated that building and filled it with explosives? ) If the WTC was brought down by pre-positioned explosive devices, somehow facilitated and covered up by the government, it would be the most audacious conspiracy in human history. When before have so many people been so spectacularly bamboozled, with so much death and destruction, and such massive implications for geo-politics? Never, that’s when. And that is the problem Dr. Jones is facing with his research. People have knee-jerk reactions to “conspiracy theories,” at least to the ones that do not make it into their established and trusted news outlets. And the mainstream media, so far, despite a blip or two in the New York Times, is taking a pass on this story. Yes, my skeptical friends believe that the Bush administration cynically smeared the war records of both John Kerry and John McCain during the 2000 presidential election through the use of shill agencies. Yes, they believe there was suppression of black voters in Florida, and other schemes to cheat their way into the White House in the 2000 election. Yes, they believe the administration conspired to rig the intelligence they used to justify their invasion of Iraq. Yes, if they are regular readers of The New Yorker, they believe that the election fraud was worse in 2004, with rigged ballot machines, in Ohio in particular, being used to great effect. And, yes, they believe in massive wrong-doing and cover-up regarding October Surprise and the Iran/Contra affair, as well as the CIA-orchestrated overthrows of democracies in Chile and Iran, to name only two well-known examples. But no, they don’t believe in conspiracy theories. These are hardcore leftists who refuse to even entertain the question of whether science supports the conclusion that the planes brought the towers down. “Too many people would have to know about it for them to get away with it,” one friend said. “They’re not that smart,” said another. “It’s just not plausible,” said a third. The issues raised by Professor Jones are not breaking along standard political fissures. People’s relative amounts of skepticism and credulity, rather than their political affiliations, seem to determine their openness to giving the professor’s analysis a hearing. Jones himself claims to have been a lifelong Republican, but now affiliates with no political party. The audience Wednesday night was definitely not the usual suspects of progressive professors and pierced and tattooed activists and students who regularly gather to share criticism of the President, although there were a few of those, too. Mostly, they looked like a cross-section of average middle-Americans. But by the end of the evening, it is no exaggeration to say that most had become political radicals, not of the left and the right, but of the right and the wrong. i guess this is mainly for ari and donovan, since they're the only ones on the list that i *know are negativland/over the edge fans, but... holy shit. i am now officially in charge of the digital mastering of the entire collection of "ote: another ufo" shows!!! i have a box here in my studio with 44 shows, each comprised of 2-3 cassettes. the MASTERS! i am in shock and awe. i'm going to take each show and record it off a professional tascam deck, trying to match the pitch of the theme music to a digital version, since the decks the shows were recorded on were often out of tune, then record them through decent convertors and turn them into mp3s for don joyce, of negativland. it's going to take months and months, i'm sure, but i am so fucking excited, and i had to tell someone who would give a shit ;) i'm helping someone who had a profound affect on my life, and that feels so good, in the midst of so much that feels so bad.

Many have wondered why such a conservative, pro-military president would issue such a warning. We now know why. The Disclosure Project, an NGO based in the United States, has identified several hundred military, intelligence and corporate witnesses to illegal and extra-constitutional projects that have suppressed information and prevented public access to technologies which could provide a definitive replacement for oil, coal, nuclear power and other conventional energy sources. These technologies have been both acquired and developed by military and industrial interests in the US, UK and other countries that have repeatedly lied to or withheld this information from legally constituted authorities and the public. This information has the potential to completely transform the current state of the world in the areas of technology, energy production, propulsion, the environment and geopolitical issues related to oil and energy supplies. In short, a sustainable, non-polluting and affluent civilisation could be created by the wise application of these technologies, and many of the most pressing crises facing the world community could have been avoided if it had not been for the deliberate suppression of such technological knowledge. While “national security concerns” have been invoked as reasons for such secrecy, in reality the policy is driven by the resolve to maintain the current “status quo” based on the pre-eminence of oil and fossil fuels and related special interests. By the time President Eisenhower left, a transformation had occurred in the structure of Western military, intelligence and corporate programmes. The urgent pressures of the nuclear arms race and the Cold War with the Soviets had created an atmosphere of extreme secrecy, dwarfing the secret infrastructure surrounding the Manhattan Project that built the atomic bomb during the Second World War. The fate of the free world was at stake, and no expense was spared to create the means to advance technologies within the dark womb of secrecy. A culture evolved that required such secrecy for national survival and the “need-to-know-only” requirements of such programmes were further reinforced by the well-known espionage scandals of that era, including that of the Rosenbergs. However, such a culture of generally regarded justifiable secrecy also created opportunities for abuse within the military, intelligence, corporate and laboratory complex. Classified programmes, appropriately structured to require a genuine need-to-know situation in order for one to have access to them, became increasingly “compartmented”, restricted and shadowy. Mechanisms for funding became Byzantine and obscure; programme structures were hidden with cover stories, “store front” operations and became virtually impenetrable; and the people within such programmes found themselves at once increasingly isolated and strangely empowered. It was in this womb, awash with billions of dollars of so-called “black budget” funding, that extreme (and many would maintain essential) secrecy gave birth to the monster of rogue, illegal and powerful “unacknowledged special access projects” (USAPs) dealing with a number of unusual phenomena and technologies. In the world of USAPs, compart-mentalisation is so great, the need to know so restricted and the information so important, that meaningful supervision by the constitutionally required authorities in the US, UK and other countries became simply impossible. Here, “unacknowledged” means that nobody is ever told about the project unless he absolutely needs to know and is directly required to be involved in operations. Even if a senior official inquires, the answer is “no such project exists.” Moreover, the milieu of the “revolving door” world of military, intelligence and corporate programmes created corporate and financial influences that ran counter to genuine “national security” interests or any legitimate public interest. Especially in the United States, the multi-billion dollar expenditures on military technologies, research and development programmes and outsourced services and operations allowed for a comingling of public finances and private interests. This, combined with the extreme compartmentalisation of programmes, allowed for serious abuses of the public trust to take place. Ultimately, such programmes — networked carefully with other programmes and corporate research — became so restrictive that legal authorities were routinely and as a matter of course left out of the loop. Ultimately, those left out of the loop would become members of Congress and even the US president. Indeed, when President Eisenhower left office, operations had become so complex and out of control, that he was convinced he was being shut out of vital developments and operations. In the years since, matters have decayed exponentially to the point that we estimate today some $100 billion per year go into unacknowledged programmes escaping the substantial knowledge of the US president and US Congress. USAP AND ADVANCED ENERGY AND PROPULSION SYSTEMS The “crown jewels” of such USAPs are those connected to very advanced energy and propulsion systems. In the 1940s and 1950s, a concerted effort was made to investigate a number of phenomena related to emerging sciences, including those associated with electromagnetism and electro-gravitic/magneto-gravitic technologies for their promising potential in creating energy and propulsion systems valuable to urgent defence projects. During that era, particular interest was paid to what the public call UFOs (unidentified flying objects). It is important to note that the term UFO was only coined after covert programmes discovered that such objects were neither unidentified nor “flew” in any conventional sense of the word. Indeed, the majority of the information and culture associated with UFOs is disinformation designed to deflect serious scientific, media or mainstream governmental inquiry. People have been systematically deceived for half a century. UFOs well-documented aerial phenomena, some of which are extra-terrestrial vehicles whereas others are advanced covert government aircraft using energy and propulsion technologies that could transform life on earth. It should be noted that the man-made devices are the result of illegally classified research and development (and acquisition) of technologies as well as the study of retrieved extraterrestrial vehicles. Once technological breakthroughs were made, the secrecy associated with these projects became extraordinary. Indeed, the clandestinity surrounding these advanced energy and propulsion devices far exceeded the secrecy that shrouded the development of the hydrogen bomb. From a November 21, 1950 (authenticated) top secret Canadian document: I [the author] made discreet enquiries through the Canadian Embassy staff in Washington who were able to obtain for me the following information: a. The matter is the most highly classified subject in the United States Government, rating higher even than the H-bomb. b. Flying saucers exist. c. Their modus operandi is unknown but concentrated effort is being made by a small group headed by Dr Vannevar Bush. d. The entire matter is considered by the United States authorities to be of tremendous significance. Putting aside the aura of silliness that surrounds the subject in pop culture, the media and the tabloids, over 2000 pages of documents released to the Disclosure Project by the US, UK, Spanish and other governments clearly establish the importance of the matter at the time. Space here does not allow inclusion of even a sampling of these documents but they may be viewed, in part, on our website and reviewed in the book Disclosure by this author. Today, this subject usually elicits laughter, embarrassment and dismissal. This is certainly understandable since at least 99 per cent of everything said, written, filmed or otherwise placed in the public domain on the subject is outright deception. But in the corridors of power — and especially in the corridors of covert programmes — the matter is of utmost importance. This is because at the core of this enigma lies a body of science that eliminates in one generation the need for oil, fossil fuels and the related pollution and establishes a truly sustainable world civilisation exempt from poverty as we know it. The relentless ridicule associated with the UFO subject matter is deliberate and staged: It hides a profound body of knowledge dwarfing the changes that have transpired from the industrial revolution until today by several orders of magnitude. In a letter to Congress, first CIA Director Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter had this to say: It is time for the truth to be brought out … Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about the UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense … I urge immediate Congressional action to reduce the dangers from secrecy about unidentified flying objects... We have identified nearly 500 military, corporate, intelligence and laboratory witnesses to events and programmes connected to these matters. The body of evidence is overwhelming and definitive. In May 2001, we held a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC at which more than 20 such witnesses provided testimony and documents regarding their direct, first-hand involvement in the subject. It was the most-watched webcast in history, and ultimately over a million people viewed the event over the Internet. The event was reported by CNN, CNN International, major networks like the BBC, the Voice of America, Pravda, the Chinese News Agency, Telemundo, The Washington Times and other media around the world. Tens of thousands of people wrote to the president and members of Congress asking for an investigation of the subject and a general declassification of information. And then September 11 happened. In view of the US Patriot Act and other developments, including the Iraq war, the US Congress has elected not to pursue the matter. But the international community, which is greatly harmed by the continued imposition of this secrecy, is the primary victim and should be the prime mover in getting these matters investigated. EXPERT WITNESSES AND TESTIMONY Sufficient evidence, documents, physical proof and testimonies exist to definitively make the case for the reality of the issue as well as its illegal handling. Beginning in 1992, we met with senior government officials in the US, UK, the United Nations and other agencies and discovered a remarkable degree of interest in resolving this problem and obtaining a general disclosure of the facts. The officials ranged from members of the US Senate Intelligence Committee to the first acting CIA director under President Clinton, including very senior admirals and generals at the Pentagon and in the British General Staff. There is widespread agreement that the subject has enormous implications for the future of humanity and that the secrecy has become inexcusable. What has been lacking is the will to take meaningful action on the issue. While interest and moral support for disclosure are high, fear is even greater. Consider what some of these top secret “whistle-blower” witnesses have said about this secrecy and the fear it engenders: Brigadier General Stephen Lovekin: Army National Guard Reserves. As a young army officer he worked with President Eisenhower in the last years of his presidency. But what happened was that Eisenhower got sold out. Without him knowing it, he lost control of what was going on with the entire UFO situation. In his last address to the nation, I think he was telling us that the military industrial complex would stick (sic) you in the back if you were not totally vigilant. And, I think that he felt like he had not been vigilant. I think he felt like he trusted too many people. And Eisenhower was a trusting man. And I think that he realised that all of a sudden this matter is going into the control of corporations that could very well act to the detriment of this country. This frustration, from what I can remember, went on for months. He realised that he was losing control of the UFO subject. As far as I can remember, that was the expression that was used, “It is not going to be in the best hands.” That was a real concern. And so it has turned out to be ... “It had been discussed with me on numerous occasions what could happen to me militarily if I discussed this. I would say that the government has done as good a job enforcing secrecy through the installation of abject fear as they have done with anything within the memory of modern man.” One older officer discussed with me what possibly could happen if there was a revelation. He was talking about being erased and I said, “Man, what do you mean erased?” And, he said, “Yes, you will be erased — disappear.” And I said, “How do you know all this?” And he said, “I know.” Those threats have been made and carried out. Those threats started way back in 1947. The Army [and the] Air Force was given absolute control over how to handle this. This being the biggest security situation that this country has ever dealt with and there have been some erasures … I don’t care what kind of a person you are. I don’t care how strong or courageous you are. It would be a very fearful situation because from what Matt [this older officer] said, “They will go after not only you. They will go after your family.” Those were his words. And, so I can only say that the reason that they have managed to keep it under wraps for so long is through fear. They are very selective about how they pull someone out to make an example of. And I know that that has been done. Lance Corporal Jonathan Weygandt : US Marine Corps, present at a retrieval of a UFO in South America “You weren’t supposed to be there.” “You are not supposed to see this.” “You are going to be dangerous if we let you go.” I thought that they were going to kill me, really … Lethal, deadly force has been used. For those of you who don’t know, I know marine snipers and I have heard other guys talk about it and I’ve heard that these guys go on the streets and they stalk people and they kill them. I know that the Army Airborne snipers do the same thing. They use Delta Force to go grab these people and silence them by killing them. Larry Warren: US Air Force, Security Officer, present during the landing of a UFO at Bentwaters Air Force Base in the UK We were gone over with a Geiger counter and there was one return on one of the guys, and something was taken out of his pocket. (He had picked up an item from the retrieved craft.) This guy was removed very quickly. And, I will swear on my life, I never saw him again. He was removed. This happened to a lot of people. It led to a suicide that the Air Force is responsible for. This is a real person with a real name ... Master Sergeant Dan Morris : US Air Force, NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) Operative I became part of a group that would investigate, gather the information, and in the beginning it was still under the Blue Book, Snowbird and different covert programmes. I would go interview people who claimed they had seen something and try to convince them they hadn’t seen something or that they were hallucinating. Well, if that didn’t work, another team would come in and give all the threats. And threaten them and their family and so on and so forth. And they would be in charge of discrediting them, making them look foolish and so on and so forth. Now if that didn’t work, then there was another team that put an end to that problem, one way or another. Professor Robert Jacobs: US Air Force, who filmed a UFO intercepting an early ICBM test After an article [came out about the incident] … I started being harassed at work. I started getting odd telephone calls that would come during the day. At night, at my house I would get telephone calls — all night long sometimes — 3.00 in the morning, 4.00 in the morning, midnight, 10.00. People would call and start screaming at me. “You are going down (unprintable expletive)! You are going down! And that’s all they would say.” And they’d keep screaming that until I finally hung up the phone. One night somebody blew up my mailbox by putting a big load of skyrockets in it. The mailbox went up in flames. And that night at 1:00 in the morning the phone rang. I picked it up and somebody said, “skyrockets in your box at night, oh what a beautiful sight!” And things like that have happened on and off since 1982 … I believe this nutty fringe around UFOs is part of a concerted effort to keep serious study of it down. Anytime anybody tries to study this subject seriously, we are subject to ridicule. I’m a full professor at a relatively major university. And I’m certain that my colleagues at the university laugh at me and hoot and holler behind my back when they hear that I have an interest in studying unidentified flying objects — and that’s just one of the things that we have to live with … What happened to the film is an interesting story in itself as Major Mansmann related to me and other people. Sometime after I had gone, the guys in civilian clothes — I thought it was the CIA but he said no, it wasn’t the CIA, it was somebody else — took the film and they spooled off the part that had the UFO on it and they took a pair of scissors and cut it off. They put that on a separate reel. They put it in their briefcase. They handed Major Mansmann back the rest of the film and said here, “I don’t need to remind you, Major, of the severity of a security breach; we’ll consider this incident closed.” And they walked off with the film. Major Mansmann never saw it again. Merle Shane McDow: US Navy Atlantic Command These two gentlemen began to question me about this event. They were being pretty rough about it, to be honest with you. I remember literally putting my hands up and saying, “Wait a minute fellows. I am on your side. Just a minute.” Because they were not really nice. They were very intimidating and made it quite clear to the point that nothing that was seen, heard, or witnessed, that transpired was to leave this building. You are not to say a word about it to your co-workers. And off base, you just forget everything that you may have seen or heard concerning this. It didn’t happen ... Major George A Filer, III: US Air Force (Retd.) At times I used to carry nuclear weapons. In other words, I was mentally fit to carry nuclear weapons, but I’m not mentally fit if I see a UFO. This criticism and this ridicule have done more to keep the story coming out than almost anything else. John Callahan: FAA Head of Accidents and Investigations … When they got done, they actually swore all these other guys in there that this never took place. We never had this meeting. And this was never recorded … This was one of the guys from the CIA. Okay? That they were never there and this never happened. At the time I said, well I don’t know why you are saying this. I mean, there was something there and if it’s not the stealth bomber, then you know, it’s a UFO. And if it’s a UFO, why wouldn’t you want the people to know? Oh, they got all excited over that. You don’t even want to say those words. He said this is the first time they ever had 30 minutes of radar data on a UFO. And they are all itching to get their hands onto the data and to find out what it is and what really goes on. He says if they come out and told the American public that they ran into a UFO out there, it would cause panic across the country. So therefore, you can’t talk about it. And they are going to take all this data … … When the CIA told us that this never happened and we never had this meeting, I believe it was because they didn’t want the public to know that this was going on. Normally we would put out some type of a news release that such and such happened ... In short, so ruthless and unrelenting has been the secrecy associated with these issues that no institution or leader to date has been willing to take the matter on. Indeed, after we met with CIA Director James Woolsey in December 1993 and recommended that President Clinton take direct executive action to end the secrecy and facilitate a disclosure, we saw first hand how great the fear was. A friend of the president visited us after this meeting and informed us that it was felt that the president would “end up like [President] John Kennedy if he did what we suggested.” Of course, we initially burst into laughter, until we were stopped and informed that such concerns were real. We were stunned. Until then, we had relegated such concerns to the dustbin of conspiracy theories. But it appears that the fear and ruthless control exercised by these projects around the world has effectively kept the matter off the public radar screen. In our view, the propagation of such fear as a tool for control is a genuine form of international terrorism. Its effects are devastating: it has neutralised democratic processes and institutions, engendered paralysing fear, hijacked the future of humanity, impoverished billions of people and decimated the earthly environment in the span of one human lifetime. Indeed, the harmful effects of such rogue secrecy exceed by orders of magnitude the consequences of any terrorist organisation operating today. Subsequent meetings with members of Congress and other high officials resulted in enormous concern — even consternation — but no action. We repeatedly heard that many in senior positions were concerned with such unsanctioned secrecy, but these officials would simply pass the buck to others, saying “Why don’t you meet with so and so on another committee and get him to hold a hearing?” Other witnesses have described these operations thus: Dr Paul Czysz: McDonnell Douglas Career Engineer The black budget world is like trying to describe Casper the friendly ghost. You might see a cartoon of him but you don’t know how big he is, you don’t know where his funding comes from, you don’t know how many there are because of the compartmentalisation and the oath that people have to take. I know people today that worked on one of the things that I worked on, and if you asked them about it — even if it is being discussed on the Internet — they would say “No, I have no idea what you’re talking about.” They’re in their seventies now, but they still would absolutely never admit that they even know what you’re talking about. You have no idea, but it’s probably larger than you think. John Maynard: DIA Official Of corporations involved in this matter, Atlantic Research Corporation is one of the big ones. So it’s not very often heard about. It’s an insider beltway bandit, if you want to call it that, very low profile, mostly has all of its work done within Intelligence. TRW, Johnson Controls, Honeywell; All of them at some point or another became involved with the intelligence field. Certain works, activities were contracted out to them. Atlantic Research was one of them — way back. These are entities that were created out of people in the Pentagon to become a “beltway bandit” — received projects, grants, and monies to do certain projects that were so highly classified and compartmentalised that, you know, only about four people would know what was going on. So it was that tightly controlled. Edgar Mitchell : Astronaut Whatever activity is going on, to the extent that it is a clandestine group, a quasi-government group, a quasi-private group, it is without any type, as far as I can tell, of high-level government oversight. And that is a great concern. Mitchell later made a statement to the media, reported in the St Petersburg Times of February 28, 2004, “The Aliens have landed … a few insiders know the truth and are studying the bodies … A cabal of insiders stopped briefing presidents about extraterrestrials after President Kennedy.” Sergeant Clifford Stone : US Army …. They immediately come out and say, “Oh, we can’t keep secrets, we can’t keep secrets.” Well, the truth is, yes, we can. The National Reconnaisance Office remained secret for many, many years. The mere existence of the NSA remained secret. The development of the atomic weapon remained secret until once you exploded one you eventually had to tell some people what was going on. …. I had classified documents the Air Force acknowledged. When I got members of Congress to help me open up more files, they were immediately destroyed and I can prove this. When Congress did their review of the way we protect documents, and the way we go ahead and implement our secrecy programmes, they found that you had special access programmes within special access programmes — that it was essentially impossible to keep control of them all by Congress. And, I’m telling you right now; it is essentially impossible to keep control of them all. When it comes to UFOs, the same criteria [sic] applies. Therefore, only a small nucleus within the intelligence community, numbering less than a hundred — no, I’d suggest less than 50 — control all that information. It is not subject to congressional review or oversight at all. Dr Robert Wood: McDonnell Douglas Aerospace Engineer As you may know, when you get cleared for one of these classified programmes you wear your special badge and you know you can talk to anybody who’s in the room with a lot of candour and it feels like that’s one’s psychological group — there’s a lot of camaraderie that builds up. And you had access to special libraries. So one of the things that we could do is go up to the library that the Air Force ran and sort of paw through top secret material. Since I was interested in UFOs, when I had some usual business to take care of, I’d also look in their library to see what they had on UFOs. And for about a year I was getting quite a few hits on the subject about various reports. Then all of a sudden, the whole subject material vanished. The entire classification for the subject just vanished. The librarian in our group that I was working with said he’d been in that vault for twenty years and knew exactly how things were normally done. He said, “This is remarkable!” He said, “I’ve never seen that before, you just don’t have a whole subject vanish out from under you.” He said, “I think there is something there that you hit on ...” In the meantime, there was one other thing that came about as a result of my association with Jim McDonald (a well-known UFO scientific investigator). I liked the guy; he was really an energetic physicist and wouldn’t let any grass grow under his feet. When he got a case he would dig his teeth into it and present an overwhelmingly convincing story to professional societies. He would talk to the American Institute of Aeronautics and the American Physical Society, and I happened to be members of both. So whenever he was in town I would pick him up, escort him, made sure he felt welcome. So once when I was travelling through Tucson, where he lived, I stopped — I had a two-hour layover to catch an airplane — and he came out to the airport to have a beer with me. I said, “What’s new, Jim?” He said, “I think I’ve got it.” I said, “What do you think you got?” He said, “I think I got the answer.” I said, “What is it?” He said, “I can’t tell you yet. I have got to be sure.” It was six weeks after that that he tried to shoot himself. A couple months after that he finally died. Knowing what I think I now suspect about the skills of our counter intelligence people, I think we had the capacity to convince him to do it himself. I think that’s what happened ... Clearly in order to have effective control of this subject, you have to control it at all levels and the most obvious level is the media. So you have to look at all the kinds of media there are, the movies, the magazines, and of course in the early days that’s all it is, newspapers and movies and magazines. Now we have the Internet and video and all those other sorts of things. But as the technology has blossomed in these other avenues, the people worrying about this control have also just moved into those avenues right along with them. So every time a new avenue comes up they have a new counterpoint. The reader should note that we have gathered nearly 500 such credentialled witnesses from every agency and branch of the military, as well as select corporations involved in the secrecy. The group maintaining this secrecy, at least at a policy level, numbers some 200–300 individuals from a number of countries and represents a powerful array of interests including those connected to financial, technological, security, religious, media, political and scientific areas. In 1993, contacts in this group stated to us that about a third of those involved were in favour of ending the secrecy and a broad disclosure of the facts; as of today we estimate over 40 per cent hold this opinion. Those who think that such a group could not get away indefinitely with such secrecy are right. We have obtained sufficient actionable intelligence, sources and documents to make the case. We have names, programme code numbers, the locations of operations and corporate programmes and related vital intelligence. But to whom will this information be disclosed and to what end? Since the secrecy related to these technologies and operations is rogue, unconstitutional and harmful, any legitimate governmental or international body could hold a hearing at which witnesses and evidence could be presented. Legal and national security experts associated with the Disclosure Project have determined that, since the secrecy is unregulated and outside the bounds of the law, the leaders of such projects have no legitimate right to enforce such secrecy. This means those persons holding secrets are no longer constitutionally bound by any past or current secrecy oaths. This assessment has been shared with senior governmental officials and to date no entity or official has challenged this position. Significantly, during the preparation and in the aftermath of the above-mentioned National Press Club event, none of the whistle-blowers or staff of the Disclosure Project have been threatened or silenced in any way. We have been able to make a definitive case for the evidence as also for the illegal nature of the secrecy. Hence, no legal entity can insist on silence. A CALL FOR REVELATION Aside from these legal arguments, there is a compelling moral and ethical reason to end the secrecy. First, humanity is suffering needlessly due to the continued withholding of vital scientific and technological knowledge acquired through these programmes. These technologies allow for the extraction of useful energy from the so-called quantum vacuum state. This means that every village in Africa or India could have an off-the-grid energy source that extracts energy from the space around the device, with no need for the burning of fuels or transmission lines from central utilities. Such “free energy” generators would utterly transform the current, seemingly hopeless world situation as regards poverty, pollution, economic stagnation and the like. Second, the world stands to gain from new critical technology. The implications of replacing fossil fuels and nuclear power with these new, advanced energy and propulsion systems cannot be overstated: every aspect of life on earth will be affected and a truly sustainable, technologically advanced civilisation can be built. The developing world can bypass the stage of industrial pollution and expensive centralised utilities and go directly to point-of-use power generation. As abundance grows exponentially, educational opportunities will increase. Global warming will cease and pollution generally will be brought under control. Desalinating sea water will become inexpensive and help prevent desertification and resource depletion. And we will have no more oil wars. Third, disclosure of these secret programmes is not without its potentially negative consequences. It may be argued that such a new technology could have destabilising military applications. This is no doubt true — every new technology can be harnessed for war. But this brings up an important point: are we, as a civilisation, prepared to see humanity commit planeticide — the killing of an entire planet — just so we can avoid the respon-sibility of creating a peaceful world? The state of the world will not be significantly improved by tinkering around the edges of oil, coal, solar or wind power, and we are facing a cruel future of environmental decay, impoverished exploding populations, global instability and war. This, while a comprehensive solution to these problems sits in a black box. Hence, it is time for these technologies to be properly and carefully disclosed and applied. The International Court of Justice and other international agencies must take a leadership role in investigating and disclosing the facts, and facilitating the release of these new energy and propulsion systems. The Disclosure Project stands ready to provide full information and briefings to governmental leaders, institutions and agencies. The international community must investigate these issues — and stop looking the other way. Illegal secrecy, withholding solutions to our most pressing concerns, is one of the greatest moral and political crises of our time, if not the greatest one. The time has come that this publicly funded but “hijacked” research be made available for the benefit of all of humanity. That six billion humans continue to live in a manner that cannibalises our home planet while solutions are deliberately and with malice withheld cannot be allowed. No matter how great the financial or other interests may be in propping up the dying oil economy, we cannot let our oil addiction drag the entire body of humanity down with it. Instead, with courage and care, let us disclose the truth, and allow these wondrous new sciences to provide humanity with the means to live peacefully and in abundance on earth. This is no utopian dream. We already have the means to create such a world. Now we must find the will.

For more than 50 years, shadowy government agencies have supressed information about extraterrestrials and the use of E.T. technology. In 1998 Dr. Steven M. Greer resigned his post as Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in North Carolina to spend all his time and energy on exposing a massive corporate-government coverup of extraterrestrial contact that's been kept under wraps for decades. So how to shine a light on a shadowy consortium that promotes war while fostering scarcity, making gas prices astronomic? Based in Crozet, Virginia, Greer's Disclosure Project has convinced hundreds of insiders, including military brass and CIA ops, to defy nondisclosure pacts. They've coughed up documents (some still classified) and signed testimonials. Greer's got it all -- in fact, he gave Peter Jennings's producers access to these bombshell revelations for the ABC special on UFOs that aired last spring. But, as the good doctor found out, you can't give this stuff to the mainstream media and expect it to air on prime time. "They won't let us do it," a senior producer told Greer by phone. "I said,'Who's They?'" Greer recalls. "And he said 'Dr. Greer, you know who they are.' And click, he hung up." So why not get these documents to the President of the United States? Been there, done that. "Hillary and Bill spent hours poring over them," Greer claims a close friend of the Clintons reported, adding that when Clinton took office, he wanted two questions answered: Who killed Jack Kennedy? and What's going on with the UFOs? It didn't take long for Clinton to realize, says Greer's friend, that he had a much better chance of completing his term if he followed his own "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. In 2001, Greer held a press conference at which many witnesses came forward, but it was eclipsed by 9/11. Since then he's gathered more insiders willing to reveal what the government won't. Greer: Back in the early 1960s, when I was eight or nine. Some neighborhood boys and I saw a disc-shaped, windowless object that hovered, silent, then simply vanished. My parents said, "That's very nice" and ignored it, but I knew what I'd seen, and it was life-changing." What made you leave medicine to focus on the UFO coverup full time? In 1990 I learned that NATO and the Belgian Air Force were tracking an enormous triangular craft -- about 800 feet in diameter -- and it reignited my interest. I went there and actually saw the F-16 fighter jet radar tape of a massive UFO hovering, then accelerating at several thousand miles per hour -- way outside the envelope of what any man-made object could do. Have you seen a UFO at close range? My research team and I had one of these massive triangles come down right over our car. It was vibrating on top and sounded like an enormous transformer -- a deep, low-frequency hum. The most dramatic thing we've seen is a near-landing in England, in 1992, where we had a 100-foot diameter disc in front of us about ten feet above the ground, signalling and communicating. There were people on board. Has your team ever established contact with an E.T. Spacecraft? In the early 1990's a BBC recording crew picked up a series of beeping tones [from a UFO]. We recorded that, and we fed it back out. For all we know, it's their trash compactor, but we figure that if they see humans sending their signal back to them, they'll identify it as communication. In Pensacola, Florida, we signaled [a UFO craft] with high- powered lights and lasers -- and they signaled back to us! We have this on videotape. We go to areas where these objects have been seen; so we're not just sitting in our backyard. Are UFOs hostile? There's not a shred of evidence that these UFOs or the life-forms behind them are a threat or hostile to us. There is a lot of evidence that some rogue military projects have done foolish and dangerous things that have been agressive toward them. Has the government concealed E.T. vehicles and bodies? They have several dozen extraterrestrial vehicles and dozens of deceased [E.T.] life-forms of various races. Some are stored in an underground facility near Fort Huachuca in Arizona. Are secret programs developing E.T. technology? Yes. We can prove, through the testimony of dozens of witnesses, that there have been covert programs that have studied and figured out the energy and propulsion systems behind UFOs. We're talking about a whole new type of physics that would enable humans to generate energy from what's called the "quantum vacuum." How does this energy work? There's a baseline level of energy that's in all the space around us -- not outer space, but the space in this room. It's estimated that every cubic centimeter of space here has enough energy to run the entire Earth for a day. This can be tapped. Some scientists are trying to fabricate motors that extract energy from the quantum vacuum, the energy that surrounds us. You mean the space between atoms? Correct. The "zero point" energy. I've actually seen one of these [devices] working. Of course, the inventor has been threatened. Dr. Eugene Mallove, who was murdered in May [2004], and I were working on this. There are people with "proof of principle" things, but no products for sale yet. Right now we're working with an inventor who has created energy from this quantum vacuum in the hundreds of watts range -- enough to run several things in your home. We can also demonstrate the antigravity effects of high-voltage systems under certain controlled experiments. An electronic field makes something fairly weightless. We're working with a man who's done very advanced antigravity work. The colonel who classified it is willing to declassify it for us to take forward. You've made an object weightless? We've seen this done in a lab. The techniques for tapping this energy have already been fully developed within rogue and covert programs. Lockheed Skunkworks has enormous ships zipping around that are [powered by] antigravity. A lot of the UFOs sighted in the high desert of California and Utah are actually manmade prototypes. Who else is making these phony UFOs? The companies involved are SAIC [Science Applications International Corporation], TRW, Northrop, Raytheon and EG&G. We have enormous intelligence on this. I know the buildings where this stuff is going on. This needs to come out so people know the truth. Does our tax money support these secret programs, or are they privately funded? Both. There's private, corporate funding as well as what's called "black budget" sources. I met with Senator Robert C. Byrd's staff in 1994. His senior investigator and chief counsel for the Senate Appropriations Committee, for which he was chairman at the time, told me that this stuff was real, [but that] they could not penetrate this black world dealing with UFOs. At that time between $40 billion and $100 billion a year was going into these projects, and they could not trace the money. Why are these programs kept secret? Fossil fuel and the nuclear power industries would be made redundant by these technologies that very elegantly extract energy from the quantum vacuum, or "zero point" energy field. We have a $7 trillion part of the world economy dealing with fossil fuels and conventional transportation. If this information comes out - aside from people realizing that we're not alone in the universe - they'll quickly see that we don't need oil, coal or central utilities. It's all about maintaining the homeostasis and status quo of the world macro-economic and power dynamic. How would zero-point energy transform the global economy? It would replace everything. You wouldn't need oil, but the $30 trillion-a-year global economy would quickly grow to $200 trillion because there'd be clean, sustainable energy, and manufacturing and transportation would be very inexpensive. Eighty percent of the world's population lives in amazing poverty, and it would lift that. It would revolutionize the planet. People talk about the "peace dividend," but it's time for a "space dividend." Who's hiding these advanced energy systems from the public? The entity that runs this stuff is the world's largested RICO [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization]. They used to be called MJ - Majestic - 12 - but the last term I heard was PI-40. It's not one society. There are sweeping conspiracy theories about the Masons, Bilderbergers, Trilateral Commission and Counsel of Foreign Relations. I know people in all these entities, and most of them couldn't find their ass in a well-lighted room. It's much more prosaic and nuanced than that. Why do they feel threatened? It would decentralize power. Right now the centralized financial and oil system is so integrated with the way the world runs. We have testimony about what the agenda is from people who've been on the inside. Who's in this covert group? There's a committee of 200 to 300 people who are on the policy board for this issue. Admiral Bobby Ray Inman, who went from head of the National Security Agency to the board of SAIC - which is one of the crown jewels of this covert entity - is a member. So is Admiral Harry Trane. George Bush Sr., Cheney and Rumsfeld are involved, as is the Liechtenstein banking family. The Mormon corporate empire has an enormous interest in this subject; they have much more power than the White house or the Pentagon over this issue. And there are secret cells withing the Vatican. Have you met with any of these people? There are factions within this group, and I've met with some of the "good guys." People think that it's a monolithic conspiracy, but they're wrong. About 40% to 50% of people involved in these supersecret projects want this stuff out. They know we're running out of oil, China is industrializing, and the polar ice caps are melting. And they know that if this [advanced E.T. technology] was announced today, it would take ten to 20 years to get it into widespread application to avert an economic, strategic, geopolitical and environmental catastrophe. They see that and want to fix it, but they're still a minority. They're more enlightened, but it's the ruthless ones who rule. Was CIA Director William Colby involved at some point? Was his "accidental" death in 1996 connected to your work? Bill Colby was defecting from the supersecret group, and he was assassinated because he was going to transfer some hard technologies - operating devices - and $50 million in funding to us. He knew that with my kind of willpower and connections, I would have gotten that out to the world. He was found floating down the Potomac River the week he was going to meet with my closest friend. They made an example of him. In fact, Colby's best friend, a colonel who set up the meeting, said it was absolutely a hit. Even his wife said on CNN, "You know, it was strange, because he would never go out canoeing in a flooded, rain-swollen Potomac River at night and leave the house open and the coffeemaker and the computer on. That's not like Bill Colby at all." Colby's widow stopped short of calling it murder. Someone may have said, "Play along, or your children are next." I mean, these people are thugs. Has your life been threatened? [Around the time] Colby was killed, my right-hand assistant, a member of Congress who was working very closely with us and myself all got a deadly type of cancer in the same month -- different kinds. I don't talk about this publicly much because people say, "Come on!" But it absolutely can be done, it was done, and everyone died but me. I was devastated, and it took me 18 months to recover. You're saying the UFO-coverup conspirators can target people from a distance and produce cancer? Yes. Dr. Tom Bearden's books about the scalar electromagnetic weapons systems explain how longitudinal waveforms can be a carrier wave for this kind of thing. They can get it down to a cell, to your DNA. It's all resonance. We've had this technology since the 1950's. Do you have witnesses willing to step forward and reveal what they know about this massive coverup? Why is the UFO issue so urgent? It's about how we live our lives. Aside from cleaning up the environment, it [E.T. technology] extricates us from our dependency on oil, gets us out of that Middle East mess and saves the average American household thousands of dollars a year in heating, utilities and gas for their cars. And, globally, it frees up enormous amounts of economic potential. This would be the tide that raises all ships. How do you keep going in the face of so much mainstream resistance? It's a sort of Promethean challenge. Lawrence Rockefeller once told me, "It's wonderful that you're going to do this, and it's so important. But I'm afraid you're going to be the court jester, that people won't take this seriously." And I said, "Well, we at least have to try." How will you publicize your information? The second is identifying funding support for the next phase - a much larger press and media presence with new witnesses, particularly those involved with advanced technologies. The limiting factor has been funding. If I were to claim aliens had raped me, I'd have a multimillion-dollar movie deal. Doing something serious, there's hardly any money available. They talk about morality and who's [having sex with] whom, but real morality is being concerned with these issues. What do our extraterrestrial visitors want? I think they're waiting for us to grow up and quit destroying Earth and each other. That may be the entry requirement for joining the interplanetary club, and we're just not there yet. That's the biggest challenge for the human race. Are you hopeful about the future? I'm very hopeful. In fact, I have no doubt that the outcome will be peaceful, that these technologies will completely rehabilitate Earth's fortunes and environment, and eliminate poverty.
