This year's Transformus held at the Deerfields just outside of Asheville, NC. It is a beautiful setting with two lakes, apple orchards, fields and lots of forest.
This is sort of a little brother event to Burning Man which, for those of you who may not know, takes place in Nevada each year. While Burning Man boasts upward of 40,000 attendees, Transformus only has about 1500. The organizers strive to adhere to Burning Man's code of ethics and was, until recently, under the auspices of BM.

A smashing success by all accounts. The event took place at The Highland Inn, Atlanta GA, just down the street from Manuel's and Videodrome. The hotel was built in the early part of the 20th century (1918 or so) and has a downstairs ballroom, lounge and courtyard, an ideal setting. Feels a little like Los Angeles in the 1920's - "Chinatown" with Jack Nicholson.
DJ CSX (dragonradio.net) provided audio transformation. And Eli Reiman contributed several of his innovative li... read more
