ain't it a shame?
Bonus points if you can name the band, the song title, and the original lyrics.

With Tribe going fubar as much as they do, and playing more music than I usually do, I haven't been coming here much these days. You can find me more easily here:
fenwaywest.com/ www.myspace.com/walstib57

and on Facebook, too, but I don't know the url. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Go to Fenway West on FB. I'm linked there.

That just happens to be the name of an Allman Brothers Band that I'm listening to at the moment and would like to cover with the band. It's just such a happy sounding song, ykwim?
Bliss.
Wow, it's been a while. :-)
I've been following the XC trip of one Rocky Rhodes who lives in a big ol' Dodge motorhome that is painted to look like the Green Monster left field wall at Fenway Park, kind of like Jimmy Fallon's living room in 'Fever Pitch' but on wheels. He's raising awareness for the ...

So far, I've been on a nationally 4th ranked athletic team at a major university, and I have won a photography award at a National Park.
I was in the NYE midnight drum parade at a String Cheese Incident show.
I've met Bob Weir, Vince Welnick, and Bill Spooner.
I write for a small Red Sox blog that gets over 100 hits a day.

There's not a whole lot of Sox content in this post, but it was a great night, nonetheless. A good friend (Tom, the Giants fan and band mate) gave me a ticket to see the Ratdog/Phil & Friends with Jackie Greene NYE show last night. We had a good crew together (including 5 of 7 in our band), got in line early, and got some choice (general admission) seats. Dead NYE shows are always marathons, so I made sure I was well rested and well prepped for what turned out to be an epic night.
There we...

The Red Sox are in the middle of a pennant race one September as elementary school in Boston reconvenes. The teacher, being a big baseball fan, decides to break the ice with the new class by asking who likes the Sox. All the kids, save one, have their hands in the air. Teacher asks the boy why he doesn't like the Sox. He explains that he just moved to Boston from New York, and that he likes the Mets because his parents like the Mets. The teacher then says, "Y'know, you don't have to be *exactly* like your folks. What if your mom was a crack ho and your dad was a pimp and a thug? What would that make you?"
" A Yankees fan."
A blonde is talking with her friend and complaining about how old her car is and that it wouldn’t be worth much on a trade in because it had over 200k miles on it. The friend tells her to go see her mechanic and he can ‘help’ her with her problem.
A few weeks later the blonde runs into her friend, the friend asks if she bought a new car yet. The blonde says “I’m not selling it anymore. Now it only has 40k miles on it!”
Two guys are walking down a dark alley when a mugger approaches them and demands their money. They both grudgingly pull out their wallets and begin taking out their cash. Just then, one guy turns to the other, hands him a bill, and says, "Hey, here's that $20 I owe you."
I walked into the gas station yesterday and asked for $5 worth of gas.
The clerk farted and gave me a receipt.

Dave snuck in under my radar when I least expected it... and I'm endlessly delighted that he did. He is a funny, sexy, smart man who never fails to make me smile and remind me that life after illness can be just as good as life with...you just need to know the right people. I feel enriched for knowing him and blessed by his friendship, openness and kindness....best yet... he's a drummer and one day I just may get to hear him play... rock on brother!!
