Warren is down to earth, VERY funny, and a good person. He makes me laugh all the time and I know if I need someone to talk to he is there for me. I am very glad Tribe.net hired him, they couldn't have found a better person for the job.

Thank for being you, Warren, you're totally kick ass man.

Warren is kind of like tribe's jewish grandmother but without the funny smell of roses and gefilte fish. He really cares about people. He really cares about tribe. And he'll worry about you if you ask (or not). He'll give you the shirt off his back (check out his tribe tribeevangelists.tribe.net/ to see what I mean).

Don't let him fool you into thinking he is some tough cookie that can't be cracked. He is ALL heart!

I ♥ Warren!

My Blog

Well, a week ago Sunday, I was loading things into the SUV for a run to the dump. As I'm doing this, the dog from across the street and one house down comes up the driveway. Since the dog looked innocuous (it's been all over the neighborhood), I extended my hand to sniff. He bit it.

I then walked across the street to speak to the owner. The dog jumped for the back of my leg in an attempt to take it down.

I file a report. The police get involved. The dog is then given away, and then sho... read more

What is a stroke like? For me, it is like being trapped in a body that only does some of what you want it to.

I can walk without a cane most of the time, but it's still advisable to carry one with me, because you never know. Especially as the dau progresses.

I can type a lot better, buit my right hand and forearm feel as if I'm wearing an oven mitt.

Food still tastes terrible, for the most part. There are maybe four or five things I can really enjoy (gingerbread, for some reason, is ... read more

On Wednesday, I ran into a bit of a personal problem.

I had a stroke.

While not big in size, it was in a bad spot; and it's goimg to take some time to recover from this.

I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers; I'll try here to keep folks up to date on the progress.

Today, I learned that John Hennessee, N1KB, age 42, had passed away on March 2.

Another complete shock. John was 42, and one of the founding members of what became the Naked Chicken Contest Club.

He gave endlessly of his time to the Handi-Hams organization, and to numerous organizations across the country. Many will miss him.

John was from the deep south, and came to and looked at the world with a wide-eyed innocence you just don't find anymore. He didn't see well, and I can remembe... read more

Well, at my wife's insistence, I went out and upgraded the pc hardware this weekend. All my PC's are hand built, and when I upgrade this one, she gets upgraded with whatever was in mine.

So I plunked down way more than what was reasonable, get home, take the machine apart, and start the process.

Once I get the new motherboard, I notice it takes a 24 pin power connector, and I only have a 20. That means a 120 mile round trip to the nearest place open that has the cable adaptor.

I fina... read more
