Updates, not much progress

What is a stroke like? For me, it is like being trapped in a body that only does some of what you want it to.

I can walk without a cane most of the time, but it's still advisable to carry one with me, because you never know. Especially as the dau progresses.

I can type a lot better, buit my right hand and forearm feel as if I'm wearing an oven mitt.

Food still tastes terrible, for the most part. There are maybe four or five things I can really enjoy (gingerbread, for some reason, is one of them).

And my eyes are still very bad. I can see, but everything is pixellated as if I was looking through a screen door. I can't read a book, and can only read things on the PC if I blow them up to about 12 or 14 point.

It's frustrating. There's no telling if any of this will improve beyond what it is now. If theres one bright side, it's that I'm off the Prozac, which was making me suicidal, and on somethig that doesn't have that particular side effect.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Every day is a new beginning...

Hi Warren!
So glad to see you back!

I know this must be very difficult for you. You're in my thoughts and prayers. I've been going through a lot of health things this week. It's so frustrating. I try to think of it like a marathon and not sprint.

Prozac was really bad for me too.

Take it day-by-day, or even minute-by-minute, but know you have lots of people who care for you.

Much love,
Robin

Yes, you are in our thoughts and prayers, and Robin has great advice... step by step, day by day.

Very sorry to hear about the continued delays in your recovery.
