I don't know what this was originally titled (if anything). I can at best attribute it to the author whom I believe is named below.

Go ahead,
said the Demon,
weave your magic circle
and initiate each other,
I will not enter
into your philosophy.
Not true, not true,
not true, said I,
for you are the centre
of our circle
and your vision
is most wise-
As every Fool
is a Magician,
and every Demon
is an Angel in disguise!

I'm sharing this here because I enjoyed the piece as a reminder that there is learning and growth to be had if we choose to move beyond our personal demons (fears and vices). Fear, anger, pain, these are harbingers of growth and wonder, we only need choose to find the value hidden within them which leads to liberation.

Isaac, my beloved... he is wonderfully open and kind hearted, he is beautiful (inside & out), and he’s so full of the want for life and all the possibilities in it. I admire him, his convictions and his efforts to live as truly as he can despite all the obstacles that are tied to his past. He loves his children, even though he doesn't get to see them often... He's the sweetest guy I've ever known, he's really good at wanting to see the good in everyone he meets and even more so when it comes to helping others when he can.
He's had more than his share of life experience and yet goes about certain things still with the kind of innocence and genuine hope. If you could see him the way I see him, it wouldn't be hard to understand why I love him completely, he’ll forever hold a place in my heart and I don't regret one day spent together.
Hugs,
Tiffany

We're still accepting story submissions for our book project. www.autlabs.com/book.cfm We could choose to self-publish our book through a variety of services like Lulu, but we've decided instead to seek a deal with a mainstream publisher who can get us better exposure. The challenge with this is that it's extraordinarily difficult to get a manuscript accepted through mainstream publishers. Over 90% of submitted manuscripts never even reach the person who decides which submissions are a...

Once there lived a village of creatures along the bottom of a great crystal river. The current of the river swept silently over them all--young and old, rich and poor, good and evil, the current going its own way, knowing only its own crystal self.
Each creature in its own manner clung tightly to the twigs and rocks of the river bottom, for clinging was their way of life, and resisting the current what each had learned from birth. But one creature said at last, "I am tired of clinging. Though I cannot see it with my eyes, I trust that the current knows where it is going. I shall let go, and let it take me where it will. Clinging, I shall die of boredom."
The other creatures laughed and said, "Fool! Let go, and that current you worship will throw you tumbled and smashed across the rocks and you will die quicker than boredom!" But the one heeded them not, and taking a breath did let go, and at once was tumbled and smashed by the current across the rocks.
Yet in time, as the creature refused to cling again, the current lifted him free from the bottom, and he was bruised and hurt no more. And the creatures downstream, to whom he was a stranger, cried, "See a miracle! A creature like ourselves, yet he flies! See the Messiah, come to save us all!"
And the one carried in the current said, "I am no more Messiah than you. The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare let go. Our true work is this voyage, this adventure." But they cried the more, "Savior!" all the while clinging to the rocks, and when they looked again he was gone, and they were left alone making legends of a Savior.

Ghandi said "you must be the change you wish to see in the world".
Although I consider myself to be spiritual I'm not religious by nature, or at least I'm not a subscriber anymore. I was raised in a dominantly Christian environment and in retrospect I've discovered a lot of contradictions in Christian culture (which is to say nothing of the contradictions in the Christian bible).
The contradiction that springs to mind at this moment is that some Christian subcultures like to use the phrase "fight the good fight".
According to the Christian Bible, Jesus said that the good fight is peace.
This is abundantly clear not only in the book of Matthew where the Bible says "whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also", but also in the parable of the good Samaritan.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Samaritan
Just IMAGINE for a moment that you were on the street and you saw a NEO NAZZI decked out in all his regalia, bleeding from a gun-shot wound and near death. Now suppose for a moment that the other Nazzi's were preoccuppied with revenge and couldn't be bothered to help him, but that you saw the biggest FLAMING HOMOSEXUAL in the world, covered head to toe in gay pride symbols, walk over to the Nazzi, administer first aid (pressure on the wound), call 911 on his cell phone, wait for the ambulance to arrive, follow the ambulance to the hospital and offer his own name and contact information for the Nazzi's medical bills. As shocking as that may sound, THAT is exactly what is meant by the parable of the good Samaritan.
So in order to be the change I want to see in the world, I've decided that whenever I hear someone say the phrase "fight the good fight" that I won't "get all up in their grill", but I will gently remind them that according to their messiah, the the good fight is peace. Don't rely on the belief that others will continue to be angry and violent as an excuse to contribute, because the actions of others are not important. If the human race were extinguished in a nuclear holocaust, the most noble thing to be said for you after we are gone is that you refused to contribute, that you died as you had lived, with your hands extended to your fellow men not in anger but in friendship and compassion. If you want to live in a world in which people strive to defeat their enemies and get revenge, by all means keep fighting. If on the other hand you want to live in a world in which people help each other out, pay it forward and start by helping those in your social circles and in your physical presence.
