Have recently returned from living in the Ecuadorean Amazon where I have been working with Napo Runa people on language/cultural documentation and on helping them document their ecohuman sciences, their imperiled knowledge of how to live in the rainforest for thousands of years in a way that enhances rather than reduces biodiversity. Currently working on my masters thesis on Amazonian permaculture.
I have been involved in indigenous struggles and related issues since childhood. My ancestral homeland being near the headwaters of the Nchi-wana (Columbia River) and my personal homeland being on the lower Columbia, the river connects them. I am a moderator and frequent poster on the forum at www.ayahuasca.com
