Val isn't just a nice guy. He's uber-cool. He's so fun and accepting that having a conversation with him is like talking to a best friend that I've had for decades. Even though I've yet to meet him in person. And ANYONE who adores his Lady as much as he does is simply marvelous in my book.

Life as me!

So another great weekend! The wife and I got away again by ourselves (Thanks Mom for watching the girls!) and camped at an event we usually day trip. We arrived late Friday night. Well slightly later than we had hoped but it was all good. We unloaded stuff and I went over to teh Thrown weapons range for the nighttime Glow stick axe throwing tournament. That was a blast! Friday night was my "homecoming" per se and the first official visit was at my home court. An average showing for us with only two visitors. Pretty sad really. The second visit was relatively local at only 2 hours away. They needed everyone that was present to be able to open and that relied on a LOT of visitors. Not only from there court bu... read more

Really it seems planned but isn't so mauch planned as going with the flow.

Saturday found us attending a local SCa event called Summer's End. It could ahve beena somber event and in some aspects it was. A regular event it was also a memorial tourney for a fallen friend and brother. I spent my early time on the Thrown Weapons range and surprisingly started off well hitting my targets as I wanted but somehting changed and I started to miss. Got mostly zeros afterwards. I'm not sure what ch... read more

Are generally great!

Saturday was spent with family doing things we all love. Went to a Garden Railroad Open House, Then some shopping , Stopped for dinner at a small restaurant we'd never been to before (Carsons Ashford Hollow Inn) and then up the hill at Holiday Valley so the girls could see where Grandpa spends his Winters.
Sunday was a day of work. Spent the day working at the Extreme Youth Center which is a converted church that we hold our local SCA fight practicces at in the winter... read more
