I'm going to Pennsic for the second time in 2008. (My new persona/nickname there is "Veela".) My friend Vkeva and I are starting a new camp at Pennsic, called "Terre d'Ange".
***HELP WANTED: We are looking to hire several guys and a truck to help us transport our camp from the local storage to the site, set it up, and then help break it down and transport it back to storage at the end of war. We will pay CASH $$$ for reliable help. We're two petite ladies who are having to get creative about transporting ALL OUR STUFF to Pennsic (the current cost of gas makes driving a truck cross-country out of the question, so we're shipping some of it over in advance). Also, we may have room for one or two additional campers in our camp, provided we are compatible. (See my blog for info about Terre d'Ange.) I am a member of the SCA. My friends know me as "Wench Christina" ("the butterfly"). (Find me online at www.wenchchristina.com and on yahoo and myspace as WenchChristina.) I live in the Barony of Starkhafn (Las Vegas, NV) in the Kingdom of Caid.

My BlogWe've received our land assignment and we're in E19! YESSS! Look for us there, somewhere near Casa Bardicci. We're hoping to be right next to the road. Our tentative layout of the camp is with a fairly narrow entrance and the camp running long ways (towards the water). Hip, hip huzzah! I'm on my way to another Pennsic War! Next week I'll be boarding a plane and flying across the country to spend two and a half weeks camping with 13,000+ of my closest friends! I can hardly wait!

Camp Name: Terre d'Ange (It's French for "Land of Angel/s" or "Angel Land") Camp Founders: Vkeva and Veela (Me) Camp Theme: Our camp is inspired by the fantasy medieval novels of Jacqueline Carey ("Kushiel's Dart", etc.). When I say "inspired by", I mean that it is not an exact duplicate of her world. Pfew! Time flies when you're having rum! I mean, *fun*! I mean--Wow! It's already time to plan for Pennsic 37 (2008)! I had such an amazing time last year that I'll be going back again. This time I'm creating a new camp, with a gf I met there (Vkeva, Queen of Parties & Keeper of pet-slave-boys, lol). The plan is to base the camp loosely on the novels by Jacqueline Carey. I should be there from land grab day till around the 9th. Write and ask me where I'll be camped. Otherwise, look for me shopping, water bearing, or at the big parties. :) See you there!!!
