…is my immense THANKS to everyone who helped me make this last Rope::Burn a success. First and foremost huge thanks to Matt and Khym. Each of them pulled multiple duties (I said duties) to make the show swing. Matt openly flouted Murphy’s Law to MC in his cool but hot way, and lead the breakdown. Khym came early, (came hard,) and stayed late, as setup, backup performer, waitress, comfort girl, and breakdown champ. Hicksmokey was awesome, carrying 12 chairs up the stairs at once and then coming back to work bar. Big thanks to Rachel for helping open the bar on what was a pretty hard day for her. Violet also did a double shift as makeup artist and super-awesome cocktail waitress. Christin pulled a double shift at the door, and Bobby Love was a charming doorman as well. Nondo watched everyone’s back, and Megan kept us all in lockstep. I think this is the fourth show in a row that started on time, and I think that’s freakin fantastic. I thought the music was some of the best ever, and I’ve been getting a lot of compliments from the audience to back that up. Shatter and Makita are coinsumate professionals in the booth. Greg did a great job with the lights, and I’m already in love with the video footage that Megu shot. The audience was *hot,* I mean there was a high level of energy out there. Lots of “groups” out there, looks like word of our little show is spreading into the “Lifestyle” community. …interesting. Of course, the girls were fantastic! Penelope was cute and emotive, while Kyin was playful and tough. I just wanted to eat them both up so bad it was sometimes hard to focus on the ties. Mmmmmmm. That completes the second full year of Rope::Burn shows! Thanks to all our old friends and new supporters alike, even the ones who couldn’t make it last weekend. See you on August 9… Hot! Hot! Hot!

April 29 - Partial Suspension class, focus on speed 8:00 -10:00 PM Private Potrero Hill location $60 per couple This is the first partial suspension class I've taught in almost a year! Attendance is limited, as there will be LOTS of one-on-one instruction. This class focuses on the traditional chest-and-arm harness and a simple but fast single limb tie. Combined, they make a number of beautiful and elegant partial suspensions. Those familiar with full suspensions will easily be able to incorporate these ties into their own work. With a series of simple “a-ha” pointers and hands-on speed drills we show how to tie these as efficiently as possible, then learn how to “tip” the rope bottom off balance, putting them pleasantly at our disposal. Note: Tying quickly is not the same as rushing, in fact, they are opposites. Luckily I get a lot of help. Firstoff, thanks to Cy and Jay for clearing up the space. Big love to Patti, Tavi, Mme. B. and Rodger for doing the final clearing of debris, decorating, and managing to fit 60 chairs in the space. Rachel, our new bartender, kept it flowing, and JZ, Faetum, and Khym kept it moving and kept eyes popping. Davina, who always has a great ass, had a great ash. Gregg and Meg kept the show on track, and Gregg did a great job with the lights as well. Finally, after 8 shows and 18 months, we have lights that work the way we want them to. Rodger, Mme B., Nondo, and Christin did a great job on door and coatcheck despite my somewhat warped spreadsheet. Makita and Shatter again pulled out all the stops, and defied everyone's expectations. I wish every rope top could have the experience of tying with a live DJ. It't pretty freakin' fun! Emma was there as understudy in case anything went crazy with the main acts. Constance was the best stage safety I've ever had. Her eytes were on the ball the whole time and I always knew where she was. Her impromptu set with Faetum during the intermission made everyone's night! My apologies again to the cute-as-a-bug Penelope, who we will get on stage for real as soon as humanly possible. (I'm just gladd we got to show you off at BaGG!) It was a blast sharing the stage with J, and I hope to do more fun multi-top scenes in the future. (Like with Khym and Penelope AT BaGG.) However, the most exuberant thanks has to be for Rose and Mariposa. Rose and Mariposa, my beautiful long-haired morsels. I am constantly amazed at the quality of the models (and that word does NOT do them justice) that almost literally fall into my lap. Both were awesome collaborators, creative, dynamic, and wonderfully reactive in scene. Thanks to everyone. I am in awe.

Well, you can't, but fear not. As the Rope::Burn shows gained popularity, we ran out of room for our photographer friends. So, what we did was open up the (un)dress rehearsals to photographers and other visual artists. You get a front and center view of the action, plenty of room to spread out your gear, and the opportunity to talk shop with other bondage photography experts.
