The environment is conspiring against me—bloody vicious attacks have been coming on a daily basis. Even if that red liquid must fall (I really wish it wouldn't) I still feel wonderful about where I am, nose bleeds and all.

While these mountains aren't quite as dear to my heart as the Arizona desert, they do stir my spirit and I find joy here that I really don't feel in Dallas. So far we haven't done much, but I have taken a few photos that I'll be posting soon.

As for the rest of the week, I know today we'll be headed up to Potato Lake on a hike and will eventually go to the Hot Springs. Tomorrow we'll be taking some jeep trails up into the moutains to another potential lake and some old mines and buildings.... read more
