okay okay - i realize that moderating a bookkeeping tribe is not everyone's idea of excitement - certainly it does not compare with some of the other tribes out there - but this is my happy profession and i love it! given that there are no other bookkeeper tribes that i could find i thought i would start one.

farm stories

it's been a long long time
hello again!

i've missed tribe quite a bit, but life has kept me hopping and not given me the chance to drop in a say hi to everyone.

so - here is a quick hello to say that i am back and can't wait to catch up with everyone and check out all the various tribes.

oops. it will have to wait. i am off to the farm on sunday for a week with the man. no internet access.

frustration
my frustration mounts
i either lack the courage or the "good" timing
and i suffer for it
i can feel it in my chest
the usual place i carry my stress

time to change is here
the change bus is here
it's pulling away from the bus stop
and i'm NOT ON THE BUS!

i can't move
my feet are stuck to the ground, the familiar place
if only i could chase the bus
i know the driver would stop for me

i spoke to my folks tonight. they asked how the wedding plans were coming along. o dear.

so some history is in order:

my parents winter in florida and spend the remainder of the year in toronto, canada. they leave in november and return home around mid to late march.

so - weekend at the farm was GREAT!

through the summer, when rudy and i took the train out, we always travelled first class for no reason other than to miss the "cattle call" - the huge line up of people jockeying for seats in tourist class. jim was perpetually jealous of this (he always drove the truck out).

so, jim and i took the train out - first class - ooh la la!
