Winter sux

I am not ready for winter. I hate winter. My Aster lateriforus "Prince," pictured here so happy just a couple of weeks ago, has now collapsed. I had to cut it down yesterday. I cried, on the inside. I think it cried with me.

Just returned from lovely (but boring) New Mexico. I have Frontier flour tortillas! I need to eat them.
Maybe I could serve them to these people. They look hungry! I think they prefer brains to tortillas, though.

I've had such a good summer, and so have my plants. So much sun. I didn't have to do anything except water and tie up the grapes every so often.
And a couple of sunflowers even came back! Just in the right place, too, next to the walkway. I'll ... read more

What am I doing instead? Going out, of course.
