I am struggling with sensory integration issues. So far, no silver bullets, but daily resistance training is very helpful.
When I get more on top of my health situation, through nutrition and 'sensory diet', I plan to be more active. Scientific and mathematical writing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and bicycle touring are on my round-tuit list. The health problem is not who I am, but it is a big part of where I am coming from. I am a freethinker, who happens to believe in reincarnation; a science buff; and a Nature buff. I am also a serious whistler. I can do rapid double and triple tonguing, but it is difficult to control a trill. It would be fun to get together with some classical or Celtic musicians, and see what we can create together.

The last Ice Age wiped out all of the coniferous trees in Finland. After the continental ice sheet retreated, trees from elsewhere--like the Scots Pine--gradually colonized the vacant niche. On a smaller scale, the same thing happened in many high mountain ranges of the Earth's temperate regions, including the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. We can learn a thing or two about climate change from Alpine dendrology.

There is a creative way for the Democrats to handle the Iraq War funding issue. Make the money contingent on Bush stepping down, enlisting in the U.S. Army, and serving in Iraq. Bush puts his neck where his mouth is, or else no more funding for the war. Think about it.

For an urban population of a given size, greater density means reduced transportation fuel use for commuters.
