I'm Chanting As We Speak

Rio, the first dog I ever lived with, died this Tuesday. he had been pretty ill, but was still having more good days than bad days. Sunday he stopped eating and we knew it was near. Tuesday morning, while weak, he managed to get downstairs and outside to rest against the stone wall that runs through our backyard. he stayed there all day. I came home and thought it might be a long vigil, so I gathered up a bunch of candles and lined them up on the wall. I patted and spoke to him and he s... read more

a bit early in the season, I know...

at this year's Rites, I led an affinity group for people who love to chant. Havvah

The beautiful Goddess Havvah (Living One, Life), the Mother of All Living, was exploring the wonders of the newly created universe when a small, brilliant blue light shining like a rare jewel against the black curtain of space caught her eye. Unseen forces from unseen sources
Is that all you think that my Magick is?
Don't you know the Goddess is in and all around us?
Deep in my heart is where my Magick lives.

Natural forces from natural sources
That is the truth behind how Magick is done.
Magick happens everytime you learn how
You and I and everything are connected as one!

posted pictures of my most recent character: Frankenstein's Creature in a production of Barbara Field's "Playing With Fire (After Frankenstein)". the creature is a sensitive being. this is one of the most indepth characterizations I have gotten a chance to create. as one reviewer put it, the Creature is "soul wounded, isolated and yearning". yearning to be accepted, loved. yearning to be acknowledged by his father. yearning to break free from alienation, to connect. this is one of the... read more
