If Wingnut were a rock, she'd make a gem dealer wealthy; i rarely meet people with such clarity & integrity of soul. She has a force of intelligence that simply will not be denied, which i suspect at least partly accounts for her supreme honesty and the courage that requires--but there's a spiritual element to her power too, and the minute you meet her you know which team she's fighting on, and... ah, wow, just a good egg, this one.

A lovely girl with many talents, and a bright future. An especially honest, descriptive, and spellbinding writer. She can take a complex, seemingly inexpressible experience and find the words to communicate it clearly - when other people couldn't even begin to try!

Wingnut is a life force full of nobility, humility, and love. When I first met her at an outdoor party in western Washington, I sensed her character was similar to that of my own, which furthered my interest for her. Meeting her again at Goa Gil 2005 furthered these intuitions. She's always looking out for others, and finding ways to help them improve. She seems to have the term "do unto others as they would do unto you" embedded into her persona. Not only does she have good will for others, but for our entire planet as a whole. She has grand visions for how our environment should benefit humans and animals alike, and is involved in urban restoration/city repair in Portland. She's a dedicated writer, and has great patience for her choice of words. Her verbal style exemplifies this practice. Her image is bright and welcoming, and that includes a great smile! She's always exploring new ideas, and therefore prone to change, advancement, and is a great leader in evolution. This is someone who I'll definitely want to be friends for the rest of my existence.

about me
I am first and foremost an activist and problem-solver. If there is an issue or concern, I immediately move to take action on it. I have three planets in Virgo, so I am a first-rate planner. Spreadsheets and notebooks are my best friends. My long-term mission is to bring nature back into the city: planting trees, restoring wildlife habitats, revitalizing neighborhoods, and creating new parks, trails, and other green spaces all over the city. I'm currently seeking an internship with Portland Parks and Recreation or a similar organization... when I graduate I plan to get a job as a project manager or program coordinator in the field of "urban conservation".
I have been going to electronic music events - raves - for almost five years. Recently I took the leap from attending to implementation - I'm working with my friends at StarCatchers Inc. to bring new life into Portland's rave scene. Our values are all about bringing different people together, creating harmony and unity between all types of groups and giving people a sense of community and friendship that go beyond our events. We are also expanding electronic music in Portland to include under-represented genres such as trance, hardcore, and industrial. I am a "bedroom DJ" but hardly good enough to play out for some time - event planning is my forte at present.
At heart I am a hippie - I want everyone to get along and love each other. Outside I am task-oriented, driven, and ambitious. I know what I want and I am going after it with determined force. I hold a picture of success in my mind and it's manifesting fast. Between working two jobs, attending college full-time, and planning events, I also am reading, writing, gardening, biking, hiking, swimming, watching movies, herbal healing, cooking, dancing, arts and crafts, clothing design, making lists, sleeping a lot, meditating, taking long hot baths, taking photographs, and many other interesting pastimes.

Every time I try to do good things for other people there's always someone who has a bad reaction. It's like no matter what I do to help myself and other people be successful and happy, other people keep shooting me down and making me feel like a fool for even trying. But I can't even stop trying, because I'm not that way. I guess I'll just keep trying and keep being hurt! Thanks a fucking lot!

Well I applied for the 10-day Vipassana meditation course again, but I just got turned down because I (stupidly) admitted that I did Reiki on other people on occassion. Vipassana is a very purity-focused practice and once you learn how to do it, you're not supposed to practice any other type of meditation or spiritual/energy work. I can respect that, although I don't agree with it. But, I am very disappointed because the Vipassana meditation course was really good and healthy for me last yea...
