I know some of you are total experts on this, so tell me this - is there hope for a goard that's already gone moldy? I've been using it too much, apparently.... Damn twelve hour days at school :/ I hope I can salvage it because those things are expensive!!

You could try to get it with some things that normally kill mold, like tea tree or neem. You'd have to make sure not to ingest either of those substances, though.

Google is your friend.

"After you have finished using your gourd for the day, it is very important that you rinse it well with warm water
(no soap, please) and let it thoroughly dry overnight. If you do not follow this procedure, a mold will grow
inside of the gourd. This mold will not harm you in any way nor will it make your gourd unuseable. If it does form
on the inside of the gourd, just rinse it well and sit it out in the sun for several hours."

Does it have a metal exterior? Remember that oils will impart a strong aftertaste.
