Didi. Is she cool? Yeah, she's cool. You know, we were *involved* once, back in the 50s when we were both members of the Hegelian Dropouts, a band of biker-philosophers. We used to *hang out* together in Warhol's loft. She still drunks-dials me, looking for action, and the other day she booty-texted me from TribalFest, wanting to know if she could cop some of my best moves. But she's cool. Yeah. Way cool. (and apologies to her sweetie)

Didi is radiant, sensual, sassy, sexy and sweetly wonderful. She can dance like a dream, and artistic inspiration simply eminates from her every pore like a shimmering beacon that draws you in. She's one of my favorite people on this or any planet.

There is a terrible wildfire burning in the Santa Cruz Mountains, to the south of where we live. The sun has an eerie quality to it's light and the air is laden with smoke. We are lucky that the fire is far enough away from where we live that it is not a threat to us, but it is wreaking havoc on those who live in that area, destroying homes and sadly, pets who could not be rescued in time.
