<a href="http://people.tribe.net/wondergalaxy/blog/f71911e9-2798-4550-82ab-b32ccd6c186a">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/54a/917/54a917fc-2984-40ea-aaa1-c288789bdc9c.thumb" width="65" height="48" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>how interesting it is to be tapped on the shoulder by one particular year? very......puzzling

that photo is a bass guitar that i apparently carved my name into. not just my first name, the whole dang thing. thru myspace, lots of people from the distant past are resurfacing. i was sent this photo last month.
then, last week, my mom called to tell me that she found an article i had written that was printed in the local newspaper about cerebral palsey, from 1991

what does it all mean? whatever i say it means. ;)

and i say that it's just reminding me of how life and the impressions you make on it, and people, remain constant......in such a world where the only true constant is change.

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/wondergalaxy/blog/1bffe6c0-f580-461d-982b-d1c24efbef6c">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/465/359/4653590b-c854-4aa5-baaa-785e2a0280e7.thumb" width="58" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>here we go! another year, another number, fresh and exciting...

this decade is weighing towards the end, then we go into the teens

the changing of the years always seems like the closing of a book and the opening of another...those last seconds counted down, everyone in the civilized world that is awake is counting...together

what an exciting moment that happens every year!

and at the same time, it's just another day

seconds are counted, but in chaos
every day, every second someone, somewhere is counting them
perhaps they're waiting for a loved one, or news from a job interview

thousands of seconds make up each day, but these ten seconds are like the reset button for it all. we all connect and agree on counting these particular seconds because they are marking the new year.

funny, and so glorious.

the photo above is a shot of my old building in nyc on carmine street in the west village. i lived in the pink one, second one down from the top. the house rare sign is ironic. it's a record store. house of rare records.

i spent many a new years eve in that place, on the roof howling with the city......oh, the city

so i took this shot when i was visting last month. there were men on the fire escape pulling up new fire escape hardware. i thought they were hanging xmas lights like i used to do, but they weren't.

trippin down memory lane.....and took this picture of this rare house with the name teresia that was inscribed into the white embelishments at the roof.

well ya'll happy healthy and hoopalicious new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    </a>
										<div>i guess it all , and i mean all comes down to the paradox. as well as absolutely nothing comes down to the paradox.
rhetoric i suspect.
yet, i come from a new place today, as i do every day, as i never do.

thankfully i am happy and healthy!!!! celebration is omnipresent, i enjoy life and the aesthetics that surround me

sending light to where there may be darkness

all relationships of mine shift as i bring myself to the nothingness and simply be and simply love

										<div>i'm working on a 12" paintmaster of the Savior.....my most challenging job in 9 years of painting prototypes (action figures and collectables)
i was just told to make him look like mel gibson's passion of the christ....

while researching His garb, i found myself asking, "WWJW? what would jesus wear?"

the photo is before i started his flesh and hair

most of my time has been spent on His eyes......just as the human body, this sculpt is not perfect
so one eyebrow is sculpted a bit higher than the other
i'm trying to fix that problem
for a while He just had one eyebrow on the left

    </a>
										<div>rain here in sunny los angeles. i'm not complaining, just noting the pattern of bad weather and my blogging.

what the heck does blog stand for anyway? anyone know?

went to phoenix, arizona a couple of weeks ago with one of my sweet soul sistas krisy rose
we saw beauty everywhere, even in these pants flung onto a tree at a gas station off the 10 fwy.....just look at those clouds.

my imagination always has a field day with random objects of clothing laying around in the middle of nature.....how did they get there? what was the story behind it? like these pants .....who purchased them and who wore them? did they provide any comfort or were they too tight?

someone must have decided that the weight in their car was too much for the rest of the way and got rid of a pair of jeans. or perhaps they wound up there due to a bitter breakup between lovers that would share the jeans, even fight over the jeans....hmmmmm

who the heck knows. then the thriller side of me wonders if there was some sort of murder involved or kidnapping. hmmmm but that sort of stuff is boring.

so i had to take a picture of them hanging on the tree with all the trash around. and now i'm sharing it with you.

    </a>
										<div>mother nature is making herself known out here in the big city......stuck here at a friend's on 72st and columbus.

frolicing thru central park this morning was so much fun until we had to head back into the fierce wind. we walked backwards most of the way

'tis beautiful yet frustrating. i want to go out and accomplish what i came out here for! toyfair! networking! but the thought of going outside again is more and more frightening

it's 1:30, snowing for almost 12 hours now and doesn't look as though it's stopping anytime soon

arrrrrrrrh

no snowmen, no snowball fights, no angels, just sitting inside as to not soak my only set of clothes.......my suitcase and the rest of my stuff is at a friend's in brooklyn

the second largest snowstorm ever to hit
wonder when it's going to stop

well my californians, please go outside for me today and jump around in the sunshine in a tee-shirt. this east coaster turned angelina is getting pretty homesick, which i can't really believe

i like to come out here to charge my batteries with the energy of it all......but there are no bohemians left. the cooporate machine has casted it's huge expensive shadow over my city for some time now
for once, i feel out of place here
like i stand out
where i used to feel like an important limb
i now feel like a guest.

the city i fell in love with so many years ago has turned into a homogeneous melting pot of DKNY and Calvin Klein wearing robots
all stuck inside from the snow
this isn't a new realization
this is why i left in 2000

i will always love this place
like an ex lover
who just couldn't fulfill my needs

so i will be running back to los angeles refreshed, ready to defrost and embrace even more passionately the burner community and the social life that is growing for me like a sprout in the whole foods salad bar.

										<div>after posting my latest blog entry......as the wheel turns
i felt compelled to post something in the ***love*** tribe

and this is it.....
~~~~~~~
how does one...
connect with another one
unconditionally.......?
we all want that love that we see in movies, right?
oh, the affection
oh, the holding of eachother
unconditionaly
until the sun comes up, anyway
until the movie is over
and the happily ever after is fading
and you're by yourself
at four in the morning
typing at the masses~ yet no one
yet some one
one
me
you
us
now
but
nothing
to
show
for
our
interaction
except a memory of how we felt , how we could imagine in our mind's eye
just what we could be
just what we could create
another one like our one
to raise and plant the seeds of nothing ness into their being
so lovingly
just to swing around and bite us in the bud(tt)
but it's just the wheel turning. </div>
    </a>
										<div>once upon a time there was a magician who lived in the city of thieves...pretty much everyone was a thief…..in this city of thieves.....except they didn't steal money, they stole the hearts of young women and men.....broke them and then handed them back shattered and in pieces
this magician had a way to piece together what was broken in such a quick and timeless manner that the men and women had no idea who was doing this noble act.....the problem was that just as they were returned the hearts were stolen and broken again
one fine day this magician was wandering around the city looking for a broken heart to mend.....this same day...
... a maiden new to this city but born with a fractured heart (it was no fun for the theives to shatter what was already broken) wandered around, un-thieved and happy with her fractured heart, smelling flowers and admiring the simple beauty of the city, always with a tinge of sadness
they collided on a corner both walking around it from opposite sides....the magician looked into this woman's eyes and knew that he must fix her broken heart
she refused his magic, thinking that it must be some sort of trickery and didn't trust his motives.....she ran in the opposite direction
years passed by and this woman grew very lonely.....for everyone else in the city of thieves was given their mended heart back and was able to trust and love again and again
she began to think about that magician she ran so quickly away from so,
she went out looking for him and nowhere could he be found.....she began to wonder if he had even existed
those same years passed and the magician grew frustrated.....he mended everyone's hearts but his efforts were in vein because they would be stolen again and again be broken...so he felt he was getting nowhere....fast
the magician stopped his efforts for five minutes, and his heart was stolen by a sly thief, given back to him in pieces, and he couldn't mend it himself
now, not only was his heart broken, everyone else's hearts weren't being mended anymore! the town came to a halt
traffic stopped, everyone stopped, all that could be heard were the birds in the trees
the magician cried out for all the hearts he could no longer mend and his tears flooded the city.....the birds stopped singing and the pieces of his heart floated away
swimming throught the streets now, the fractured heart woman was still the same, for she had the same break in her heart all her life and couldn't understand what was different now in this city
and around that same corner the two collided again but this time they held on to eachother for dear life......and that stopped the tears from falling out of the magician's eyes, for he remembered her and she remembered him.....and that caused them to truly look at eachother as the threat of drowning was flowing away
the woman held the magician's hand and felt the emptyness of his heart which was slowly being patched up as she wiped his drying tears and held him close
in that moment she learned how to mend his heart, but there would always be scars where it was broken......and now the people of the city would have to learn how to mend each other's hearts because the magician realized that he was doing too much and he liked that his had scars now, there was something beautiful about the stories that the fractures told
and this caused the city of thieves to become the city of magic
Fish in the sea you know how I feel
River running free you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree you know how I feel
Dragonfly out in the sun you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done
That's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
Stars when you shine you know how I feel
Scent of the pine you know how I feel
Oh freedom is mine
    </a>
										<div>as i listen to more AM radio, from DR. Laura and George Nory (coast to coast) on 640, to a bit of 1150, air america
also tuning into NPR and 89.9 which is great but sometimes too serious
i have become much more informed
global warming, ice age, earthquakes, politics, relationships- so much chatter!
on the conservative stations, global warming is said to be happening with or without us and our pollution......i'm wondering when the car was invented, how did we miss the small detail that if you sit in a room with a car running, you will die.
air america has a lot of insults for bush and the administration but don't seem to be offering a voice of guidance
are we victims of the generations before?  i know this is an old question, but as i sit on the freeway listening to people go on and on about how our country is being handled, i feel helpless, and my eyes take in thousands of cars in front of me.
protest, protest.....sure. the general population doesn't have a clue to what is going on, or how to change it.  protesting gets us nowhere it seems.....gathering the masses with no strong leader or voice sends the energy into frustration.....when has our protesting gotten us anywhere?  i'd love some examples.
what we need is a bold statement.  a shift of our energy from banging on locked doors at protests to becoming light workers.
light workers, yes.  or something up that alley that gives us the power individualy and on a large group scale to create change, a shift in our attention and how we view ourselves as a changing force in the universe.
at this point i think it's safe to say that everyone pretty much agrees we are light beings.  made of energy.....there is an infinite amount of light available to us....love, thought and everything we know is of light....
it's as easy as visualizing it.
white light is protection, visualize it coming down from the sky to cover yourself
green light is grounding, see that coming up from the earth to your heart
pink light is love, good to send to family, friends and anyone for that matter
blue is very calming
light can be pictured as rain, beams, fog, or how ever it comes thru for you
it really works.  try it.  i think that if everyone knew how to access this light, the world would become very peaceful very quickly.
i practice this all the time.....and all this listening to the radio, i am sending all kinds of light to new orleans, india, washington dc.....because we're all light beings, even the ones we dislike....and sending them love, well, that will help them out of the darkness
so this is the "shift" i am talking about......our powers to be realized and directed towards global preservation of all life</div>
<div>so as a tripple new york transplant, i land in los angeles.....2 years in  europe showed me how much of an infant american culture is
i wouldn't consider new york to be part of american culture,
it's got much more of a european flavour
and now i roam the city of angels.  i'm often heard saying," i left my social life in new york city"
i'm not saying that i'm not social here, i have made a few friends and love the burning man community,
i just don't go out quite as much as the years in manhattan, when everything was just out my door and if it wasn't i just hailed a cab.
...don't drink nearly as much, better for driving home- not to mention my health
i truly enjoy my solitude here in the quiet hollywood hills......it is deliciously isolating
yet the sprawling city of l.a. goes on all around me
getting to my point of this blog, i have found a new hobby/passtime
and i never thought i would, but it seems very interesting to me right now
AM radio.....talk radio
i particularly enjoy calling in and talking on the air.  i think i'm a bit addicted.  it's just so easy, and so amusing to speak on national radio.
there.  is it a sign of aging or a product of american culture?  other passtimes i've enjoyed specific to los angeles are watching the helicopters circle and circle with my binocculars,  going to the tropical fish store and staring into some large fish's eyes telling him that he's beautiful, sweeping my front porch and watering my garden.....oh, and sitting in my dark room in front of my computer with AM radio streamed while writing in my blog and occasionaly dialing the phone to speak to the nation.
any angelinos have quarky pass-times?
