My Blog
rage
Mon, March 19, 2007 - 1:23 PMIf only the night would last long enough,
To let me spit out all my poison;
Undercover of darkness,
My senses are fully alight.
If only time could freeze
For five eternal seconds,
To let me breathe in the peace
That I cannot find.
Given the right conditions,
We can all become monsters;
Given the right conditions,
A monster can turn into a king.
If only the night left seeds that I could plant,
I would grow trees of flashing darkness,
I would eat their fluorescent fruits of secrets,
And enter forever the realm of serene madness.
If only the night was a garment,
I would sew in onto my skin,
And watch the twilight break into the dawn,
Allowing me to finally live my dream.

"If only time could freeze

You will recall the gorge of capricious waters
from which throbbing perfumes climbed, and a bird, from time to time, clothed with liquid slowness: winter plumage. You will recall the gifts of the earth: hot scents, clay of gold, scrub grasses, mad roots, bewitched thorns like swords. You will recall the branch you bore, branch of shadow and water of silence branch like a stone of spume. And that time was as never and always: we go there where nothing does not await us, Pablo Neruda and find all that is waiting there. |
