It all started with Karate Kid. I always wanted to be a ninja growing up. Long story short, there I was, age 26, frustrated and unsatisfied with life in general. A friend of mine introduced me to poi and fire, and it changed my life. With each new move, I got a little piece of the satisfaction I was looking for. My relationship with fire has shown me so many things, about myself, about life in general. We can control it only so long as we surrender and respect it.
