We got up early this morning and watched the sun come up. We had a baby doll loaned to us by Ashfield Hardware, we burned some incense, we blew out the solstice candle, and we waited to watch the sun come up. The boys had to go in and out of the house to keep warm. Finally the sun came up and we sang here comes the sun to it, then we presented the cookies and baby to it. All in all it was nice homespun ritual. We also have a candle now that stood watch over us throughout all of solstice nig... read more

Fall is here, finally. The goldenrod www.gardenguides.com/herbs/golden.htm is high in the side yard, and there are at least three or four really tall asters ( out in side yard. They're the light purple ones. Not the bright purple, or dark bluish purple ones. There is a beautiful garden spider on the deck...I've attached a photo of the spider, it's particularly beautiful, black, yellow, white. The photo isn't that good, but you can get the idea by looking at it. Evidently it's a Ar... read more

Reflecting on my parent's visit. I wanted to show them what it is that we're about. 'Cause the easiest way of understanding something is to experience it for yourself first hand. I think that they got a clearer idea of what it is that we do and why we do it.

Spent time with Joe today, with no kids. It was a first in probably a year or so. We we... read more

Cows and Rainbow

Joe tells me that they aren't all cows, some are steers. I say a cow is a cow is cow and we all know them when we see them. I took this one with the camera phone. I especially like the rainbow in the back.

Wall in Doctor's office in Holyoke Hospital

Really loved the shadows in this photo. They look like trains, or cars, or something.
