YAHSHUA
Yahshua is an attempted transliteration of the original Hebrew or Aramaic name of Jesus commonly usedby individuals in the Sacred Name religious movement out of Christianity. Those who follow Sacred Name
teachings (such as the Assemblies of Yahweh) believe that it is essential to salvation to use the correct
pronunciation of the name of the one most Christians call "Jesus". It is believed by some that this is
the correct transliteration of the Hebrew יהושע (yod-he-waw-shin-ayin - usually transliterated
as Y'hoshua or sometimes Yahoshua), which means "Yahweh is Salvation."
"Yahshua" supporters teach that since the Messiah will "come in his Father's Name", then
he must have the name of Yahweh, or at least the abbreviated form (Yah) in his spoken name.
(Sacred Name believers teach that "name" is to be interpreted literally as opposed to mean "authority.")
Occasionally one will see the term Yahshuah, inserting the shin into the Tetragrammaton based according
to some upon ancient occult literature. "Yahshua" uses the same Hebrew consonants as Y'hoshua
(Joshua), but assigns a somewhat different set of vowels. The vast majority of Sacred Name
groups use יהושע instead of יהושה ("Yahshuah"). Another popular contraction is Yah'shua with
the apostrophe ( ’ ) serving as a division to emphasise the "Yah" aspect of the name and the
Hebrew shua (salvation).
Critics say that in their labor to get the pronunciation "Yahshua" out of יהושע, they are ignoring
Hebrew linguistics that do not allow the waw to be silent, so "Yahshua" is a questioned
translation. Furthermore, it is argued by some that this pronunciation is not yet attested in
antiquity, unlike the pronunciation Yehoshua. Some in favor of "Yahshua" argue that the
added vowel -o is an attribution of Moses' speech impediment, based on his statement at the
burning bush: "I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue."(Exodus 4:10-16 KJV)
Opponents claim this pronunciation of יהושע first came into use during the early days of the Sacred Name
movement in the 1930s, perhaps developed by leaders such as Angelo B. Traina and C.O. Dodd. Christians,
historians, and linguists outside the sacred name movement for the most part reject the term Yahshua in favor of
Yeshua (ישוע) as the original pronunciation.

Yahweh is a proposed English reading of יהוה, the name of the God of Israel, as preserved in the original consonantal
Hebrew Bible text.
These four Hebrew
letters [ i.e. יהוה ] are often collectively called the Tetragrammaton (from the Greek τετραγράμματον, meaning 'four-
letter

YAHWEH
Gender: MasculineUsage: Theology
Pronounced: YAH-wah
A name of the Hebrew God, represented in Hebrew by the tetragrammaton
("four letters") יהוה (Yod Heh Waw Heh), transliterated into
Roman script Y H W H. Because it was considered blasphemous to utter the
name of God it was only written and never spoken. This resulted in the original
pronunciation being lost. The name may have originally been derived from the
old Semitic root הוה (havah) meaning "to be" or "to become".

The Divine Name YHW
The name YHW is the same name as YHWH, and refers to the same> god. To my way of thinking, it suggests that the H at the end of YHWH
> is a matres lexiones (a vowel). It also suggests that the name was
> pronounced Yahu, as in Eliyahu, etc. Some have suggested that
> the Jews in Elephantine were from the North and that YHW was the
> northern spelling, while the bible was written by Judaeans who used
> the southern spelling.

of יַהְוֶה a 19th century proposed punctuation of יהוה (the Tetragrammaton), which is the distinctive
personal name of the God of Israel
[1] as it occurs in the consonantal Hebrew Text., While by convention יַהְוֶה can be found listed in
Hebrew Lexicons,[2] as being God's name, no one knows for sure if Yahweh accurately represents
the original pronunciation of יהוה. Traditionally, observant Jews do not voice the name יהוה aloud.
It is believed to be too sacred to be uttered and is often referred to as the 'Ineffable Name',
the 'Unutterable Name' or the 'Distinctive Name'.[3] They often use circumlocutions when referring
to the name of the Deity, e.g., HaShem ("The Name") or Shem HaMeforash (“the ineffable Name”) when
reading the Tanakh aloud because the Name of God must not be spoken. Reverence is shown
because it is God's Name and it is believed that this pre-empts ever misusing the name.[4]
"Adonai" is spoken only in prayer, and YHVH is only written on paper that will not be thrown away
or discarded. Adding vowels to the Name of the Lord is an insult to some Jews because the point
is that it cannot be spoken because it is God's Name (to be).[5] To avoid spelling the divine
name, observant Jews may alter the letters in Hebrew as well as English, e.g., YKVK.[6], Various
proposals exist for the vocalization of יהוה. Current opinion is יַהְוֶה (that is, Yahweh). The Yah
part seems fairly certain, as attested by Hebrew theophoric names ending in -ia(h) or -yahu.
Early Christian literature written in Greek used spellings like Ιαβε that can be transcribed
by 'Yahweh'. Although contention still exists today many scholars accept this proposal.[7],OTHER LINKS

(NASDAQ: YHOO) is a United States public corporation with headquarters in Sunnyvale,California
,(in Silicon Valley),and provides Internet services worldwide. The company is perhaps best known
for its web portal, search engine, Yahoo! Directory,Yahoo!Mail, news, and social media websites
and services. Yahoo! was founded by Jerry Yang and David Filo in January 1994 and was incorporated
on March 1, 1995. According to Web traffic analysis companies (including Compete.com, comScore,
[3] Alexa Internet,[4] Netcraft,[5] and Nielsen Ratings[6]), the domain yahoo.com attracted at
least 1.575 billion visitors annually by 2008 according to a Compete.com study.[7] The global
network of Yahoo! websites receives 3.4 billion page views per day on average as of October
2007. It is the second most visited website in the U.S., and the most visited website in the world.
[4],In January 1994, Jerry Yang and David Filo were Electrical Engineering graduate students at
Stanford University. In April 1994, "Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web" was renamed "Yahoo!".
Filo and Yang said they selected the name because they liked the word's general definition,
which comes from Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift: "rude, unsophisticated, uncouth." I
ts URL was akebono.stanford.edu/yahoo.[8] By the end of 1994, Yahoo! had already received
one million hits. The Yahoo! domain was created on January 18, 1995.[9] Yang and Filo
realized their website had massive business potential, and on March 1, 1995, Yahoo! was incorporated.
[10] On April 5, 1995, Michael Moritz of Sequoia Capital provided Yahoo! with two rounds of venture
capital, raising approximately $3 million.[11][12] On April 12, 1996, Yahoo! had its initial public
offering, raising $33.8 million dollars, by selling 2.6 million shares at $13 each. "Yahoo" had
already been trademarked for barbecue sauce (and knives (by EBSCO Industries)). Therefore,
in order to get the trademark, Yang and Filo added the exclamation mark to the name.[13],
