I leave for Thailand and Vietnam in one day! I'm starting to get anxious because the flight is 27 hours and I'm venturing into Thailand alone. It'll be my first time to really travel like this alone, but I'm looking forward to the experience.

I'm going to be in Thailand for the Thai New Year or the Songkran Festival. There are huge water fights in the streets for days that everyone partipcates in. I can't wait!!

i had a dream that someone offered me a gummy worm. i decided to go with the blue and pink striped worm. i asked what the flavor was and he said Dallas and dead skin. i hestitated, but decided that i'd give it a try. it wasn't very good.

no gulf war for me : (

I had to cancel my trip to Gulf War because my grandma, Ebbie, is sick. She is the one in the colorful shirt. She has a tumor and we are taking her to one million doctors before she can actually get the surgery. It's like going through the freaking chain of command at work when you know exactly who you need to talk to. So Ebbie is 89 years old and so awesome and sharp and this is just changing her life in a very short time. It is so hard to see someone you love go through so much pain and not be able to help them. I can hardly stand to be away from her right now cause I'm scared of what could happen while I'm gone. I know she's old and has lived a long great life blah blah, but a month ago she was perfectly fine living alone, driving, going out to eat, drinking her scotch...now we're pretty much forcing her to eat. I'm trying to be positive, but I can't help but think of the possible bad outcomes of the surgery. Everything just sucks and the stinking house flooded again after just getting it fixed. I wish Gulf Wars would hurry up and end so Corey would be home!

rocks! spent two weeks in buenos aires and i loved it! it is a rather large city, but yet the people are quite friendly. it was the end of winter, so it was quite cold and, damn, that was nice. scarves everyday! we went to the zoo where we got to see a few peacocks display their goods to the ladies...which were like, "whatever!", we went to the coolest cemetery ever where eva peron is resting, went to plenty of artesian ferias, went to the botanical gardens where there were kitties EVERYWHERE, caught a huge unexpected rally around the central plaza where the pink house (their version of the white house) and other government offices are located, saw argentinian kenny rogers, ate lots of different and weird shit, drank lots of tea and cafe, not enough wine, and visited all the barrios we could. i definitely want to return...the city was sweet, but i'd love to do a nature trip there.

if you don't know i went w/ my bfriend's mom for medical purposes. all was well w/ her and i don't want to go into all that, but i do want to say that all the doctors we met were awesome. it was so different from here. they talk to you like you're their only patient. one came down to the coffee shop where we were and talked w/ us and made jan an appointment. not his assistant...the head doctor of the whole cardiological section. and it's just plain got damn ridiculous that we even had to go there for medical purposes in the first place. why in the shit should we have to fly across the damn equator for health care? it angers me soo much. i have NEVER met anyone that doesn't think that our health system is completely screwed...so WHY is it still?? arrghh... so much crime in the medical field right under our noses... Money #1 concern...our health #2. but hey what system in this country doesn't put $ first, right?

when you're away that long and influenced by a new culture you really get a chance to reflect on your life at home and think about what you'd like to do differently. i haven't done enough of those things yet, but i'm trying to keep the ideas fresh. it's so easy to hop back into bad habits. i wanna be more creative and diversify my crafts, have more tea breaks, dance more, funktify my fire dancin, practice hula hoopin, and spiffy up our house a bit so we can have lil dinner parties w/ exotic foods and we'll drink outta my new yerba mate gourd set!!! so now i just have to read this everyday for motivation ; ). and before you can say it anton, yes i know i'm a dork to the max.

my pop just came to visit me for my bday comin up and he's durn cool. we tested this wine that my g'pa made in the early 70s and was fully expecting vinegar, but it was sooo good! i'm freakin thrilled bout that! wish he was still around cause he was durn cool too. wish i woulda been old enuff to care about his stories and such. most things that stick out in my mind is him turning the jump rope for me and him poking me in the butt w/ his cane and making a farting noise w/ his mouth. see!...i was trained w/ butt jokes at an early age. went to the new cabelas today and that place is got damn crazy. i can't decide if it's cool or if it's just waay too much...thinking too much. went to rachel brice the other day w/ katie and well rachel is durn cool. she's a big ol goofball and is cute as hell. now it's even more obvious why the bellydance world is obsessed w/ her. katie is durn cool too. she's my virgo same age goofball sista. i ain't durn cool cause my stoopid ac unit is frozen over. i'm gonna go have me a durn cool beer now. hootie hoo!
