Yemaya, your steps are well defined and deliberate, and as light as a cat's paw. You hold so much power in your poise, care in your expression and feeling in your eyes! !!InSpiRaTiOn!! I attended Yemaya's Freedom Dance for the third time
on April 15 here in Vancouver, BC.She is an amazing,
dynamic, and inspiring dancer, performer, clown,
artist, dreamer, and healer. Her work is totally unique
and touched me in places that no other dance work has done. I look forward to the next opportunity to be
in the presence of her strong heart, her sweet joy, and
her deep grace.

With glowing gentle hands you have opened and caressed my deepest and most forgotten inner wounds. Carefully soothing the clogged spaces and pains that have ached since… my Younger Self was first frightened away from the light so many years ago. With knowing wisdom you Saw me and spoke the words which freed my heart from its shell, turned my petals toward the sun, and unleashed my wings from their binding.

With your loving guidance, I have spread those wings in an enchanted dance lodge. Spiraling, shaking, writhing, soaring in a glowing room, to music which plucks the strings of my soul, and your familiar voice seducing me deeper into my freedom journey. In these magical dances I have been surrounded by bodies of others, who not long ago also were dry and quiet, but have transformed into the most Free and Alive human beings I have ever seen.
