A beautiful place where I've had the pleasure of filming a music video (Charlie Robison), the road movie Treasure (I directed/see a clip above on the profile), and a comedy (4 Ladies & a Joker) in the last year or so is now under threat by wildfire. Those of us who enjoy the sight and sound of a huge well-controlled fire do not like the sound of this. The wonderful folks at Pappy & Harriett's (Linda's a great lady) have had to abandon their great place, and at the moment, it doesn't look goo...

Lots of action here, what with July 4 the other night. It was a wonderful night of anarchy, where persons of all political and creative persuasions joined together to safely blow things up! Quite cool, if you ask the 1 million or so people who showed up on the beach. It's great to watch the gendarmes chase ghosts. They should learn...they've got other, more important people to ... read more

Waves at the breakwater today were 1-3, occasionally bigger, about 15 people out having a good time. Sunny, warm, and I got to trunk it for the first time this year! Yeah!
