I've known Jessica for 18 years and love her as much as I love anyone. She is extraordinary. She's smart; has an incredible, acidic wit; is a wonderful story-teller; and is a lovely person. I met her when we were both 16 and I knew she was special then, but I didn't have the life experience to know that I would probably never meet anyone like her. I haven't and don't expect to. But I do expect to be friends with her for the rest of our lives.

Jessica is one of the elite cabal of the Effortlessly Fabulous, also known as the Fabulously Effortful. I don't recruit just anyone, but Jessica showed up, freshly gleaming like the steel girders of a New York highrise you wish would never put the walls up, tossing off aphorisms like autographs, and I knew she was the one for me.
