My kitty Squeak has passed on to the great unlimited tuna buffet in the sky.
I hope her sweet quirky curmudgeonly kitty soul is now completely content and painfree.
And I miss her terribly.

yma is a smile creeping around the corner of your face to peek at you in the eye. she is effervescence, tickling your ears and nose hairs.
her smile is warm and invites laughter. and her laughter... oh my. it's one of those laughs that goes on your "top 5" list, for sure.
she is a traveler, an adventurer, an explorer of worlds. and, being thus, is well missed. i am so glad to have her in my life, and look forward to again basking in her radience - in person - at some point.

Yma wears her heart on her sleeve sometimes. And a bunny hat on her head. And a gleam of mischief in her eyes.
She is a romantic, but that's okay. In a world full of cynics and skeptics, a little romantical notioning is quite a breath of fresh air.
This girl is smart, sweet, cute as a button,kind,eccentric, adorable,wonderful,amazing, wacky,interesting,you get the picture. Now, if she could only escapre the clutches of the evil spacebug - all would be perfect.

Yma possesses the rare wonder of being true to herself in each moment. In other words, she don't screw around with "should have, could have and would have" sorts of bullshit. She just does it. Everything you hear about Yma is liable to be true but I wouldn't believe a word of it. She's just that way. She is family.

I've known Yma for years, and people often ask me, "was she always this wacky?" And I say "Yes. Yes she was." It might have been a little more covert, but I knew from the first time we went riding around Chicago in her beat up white 1984 Ford Mustang that this woman was odd. These days you can't help but notice that Yma's version of reality is vastly different from your typical 9-5 corporate automaton. It's like she's a big freak flower that just came into bloom. Pretty soon she's going to find another blooming freak flower and they're going to get together and have freak seedlings. I've always wanted to be the "crazy auntie" but in this case, I might be the sane one.

I like yma. She is a good teacher. She stays up all night and drinks PBR and Sparks with me. She has been at my house like 15 days out of the past two weeks. She lives under my stairs sometimes and thats cool with me. She has shown me the wonders of Space bug (damn space bug). She invited me to my first ever style pool game. She laughs at my jokes. I like her so much I even let her wear my clothes, but then she spills PBR all over them at 10 in the morning. But sometimes she is mean...she made me crawl into a dryer more than once and took pictures of me...but all in all. I love yma.
