NASA engineer by day, yoga teacher at night
I have been teaching yoga since 1998. Originally Certified to teach through the Center for Yoga. In 2000 I began studying Anusara Yoga with John Friend. I became a Certified Anusara Yoga teacher in 2004.

If you are a yoga teacher going to Burning Man this year and looking for a spot to teach yoga classes on the playa, contact me.
We have a camp coming together called "Yogi & Delta's AsanaMania" where we will offer a nice space, shaded yoga space.
We will be on Wheel, the road that rings around the outside of Center Camp.

I am leading a free yoga class I call "Practice in the Park" at Central Park next to Old Town Pasadena (north of Del Mar Ave. between Fair Oaks and Raymond) every Wednesday evening at 6pm until around sunset. (Park on adjacent side streets. Bring change for parking meters.)

In balancing poses like hand stand, head stand, side arm balance, even tree pose, how does one keep from keeling over? In other words, what really is balance?
Yoga teachers will often answer this by saying that balance comes from a "connection to the core." This has led some students to do hours upon hours of abdominal work, and still never find balance. Frustration (and probably indigestion) following.
