about me
Namaste.
"I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells. I honor the place in you, which is of Love, of Truth, of Light and Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One." I am a seasoned psychoanalyst, but would rather practice yoga. I appreciate conceptually complex ideas, yet prefer simple talk. First and foremost I am Mom to two grown boys (ages 22 and 25). The older son is on the edge of the nest, wings flapping, preparing to launch. While still very much invested in being a Mom I am in the process of giving birth to a new version of my self. Having accompanied both parents to a dignified death in their late 80's, I feel that I am carrying their strength, integrity and goodness inside. I love to walk, wander, explore and travel. My favorite spot is a beach on the Mexican Caribbean or National Seashore on Cape Cod. My favorite evening is a quiet dinner in the North End followed by a stop at Wally's Jazz Club. A lover of fresh herbs from the garden, heirloom tomatoes and all foods fresh and Italian. It is my dream to buy a colonial home and retire in Merida, Mexico. To quote Leonard Cohen: "There is a crack... There is a crack in everything That's how the light gets in." For fun: Chase the seals along Coast Guard Beach, Arm Balances and Handstands, Travel to Havana, Listen to Luciana Souza sing latin jazz, Cook Eastham Mussels with wine and herbs, float in the Caribbean and stare up at the palm trees in 5:00 pm light. my ethnicity: Half Sicilian, quarter Finnish, quarter German favorite hot spots: North End, Cape Cod, Tuscany, Down East Coast of Maine, Tulum and Merida, Mexico, Caribbean Islands. Travel destination wish list, Mysore India, Thailand, Maui and Sicily. Enjoy folk and jazz clubs, art galleries, museums and theater. favorite things: Sushi, Newport Jazz, First Encounter Coffee House, WHAT, red, the Sun, Tulum sunrise, Merida Mexico Mercado Centrale, cilantro, Rare tuna on the grill, art last read: Novels: "The Namesake", "Smart Women Finish First", "The History of Love" and "Eat, Pray, Love" and "Infidel".

Yoga on the Tulum Beach at sunrise was as good as it gets. Although yoga in the sand was a bit of a challenge the sunrise over the ocean, the sense of community and the laughter made it more them worthwhile

While in Merida this Feb. I had the pleasure of meeting the artist Georgia Charuhas, spending the afternoon at her home and studio and hearing about her fascinating life as a young artist moving to Mexico by herself 30 years ago. It was an experience that I will never forget. See her work : www.georgiacharuhas.com/
