Good Shepherd of the CIA
I saw The Good Shepherd which I highly recommend to watch. The movie is very long, 3 hours actually but it is very well done and my hats off to Robert De Niro. Matt Damon does an excellent job and I am hoping he gets a nomination for an award for this role. The movie is about the early times of the CIA and basically starts and ends with the bay of pigs. What I thought was interesting in the movie was the level of detail in the story. Also interesting to see is how the secret society called skull and bones is connected to the founding fathers of the CIA

This video is funny, I like the LAMP t-shirts and also have hung out many times at PAIX. Yikes what does that mean for me?
Happy new year everyone !!! I went to a totally Desi party last night. It was totally fun and something quite different from previous NYE parties. I thought this year I welcome the new year with my fellow brown folks at the Bollywood affair party in San Jose. The DJ's weren't that great but the crowd was fun and very lively. There was a strict dress code which means you had to wear a jacket or tie (weired I know). There was a guy standing behind me who had jeans and a shirt and he was getting hassled by the security and he was trying to negotiate his entrance by saying that he is well dressed which I think he was. Suddenly a random guy walked up and asked if anyone wanted tickets so the guy wearing jeans said hold on to the security guy whipped out his cell phone and said "yes I think I can call someone who can make use of that ticket". I knew I was in familiar territory when I see Indians negotiating in a ticket line. I think the jeans guy got in eventually and I was wondering how, perhaps he gave the security guard a deal :) Inside the ballroom were hundreds of brown folks and you could smell the aroma of curry in the air because there was dinner earlier. I must have just missed the line "arre yaar, lets eat quick wash hands and go nacho, music is starting". There were old ladies getting jiggy on the dance floor and I saw a few in saris and salwaar kameez also.
I thought of a good stand up comedy line at the end of the night. "If you plan to rob a bunch of Indians with a gun you don't have to say hands up, all you have to do is just play some bhangara music because their arms will naturally go up in the air , shoulders and body start shaking and you just have to look on the floor and collect your money" Russel Peters watch out..I am going to compete with you !!!! OK not really Russel I am just dreaming, you still are the king !
The future of simple mathematics
You just have to listen to this tech support call to Verizon. This is a true sign of the curve of progress disappearing. originally published at * SYN->SYN | ACK->ACK *

Zaid is wicked!
He travelled all the way to my land to meet me (ok, he was really just going to a wedding). He is intelligent, gifted, friendly, outgoing, and super-cute, to boot. ~~~I can't wait to dance to the beat of his drum ~~~ Put this man on your 'most wanted' list ;-)

Where do I begin...One of the most awesomest people in the world. A great listener, an even better friend. Considerate, intelligent, honest, sensitive, loving...This guy's as good as it gets women! A talented music-maker, this guy has an artist's soul, but remains grounded and down to earth. Also, it doesn't hurt that he's really cute too. Whoever snags him will be one lucky chick...(he he he).
