Can I Get A Witness?!

February 1, 2008
Zay exemplifies leadership.
He does it by being true. To himself, and to the Community.
One thing that I have learned about the MidWest, is that these people have no Ego's.
Zay, by default, is our Leader.
I mean...look at the options...Chase?!

Zay is our fearless leader...
...truly and completely.

His smile makes me smile.
~and~
His ambition makes me desire my own.

I'm glad he's a friend of mine.

Simply put: the man with the master plan. So much enthusiasm and good energy, it makes up for most dour slouches in the immediate area :) He's propped up my weary psyche after long nights of dancing with just that grin alone ! If you know Zay, you are a lucky individual by default.

The Syrup of my Wahoo

Earlier this year I read Daniel Quinn’s "Story of B" and "Beyond Civilization. " I was struck by the similarities between tribalism and Burning Man culture. I wanted to read more of this writer’s thoughts. Failing to find Quinn’s legendary book, "Ishmael," available at the local library, I recently read "My Ishmael" instead. To my delight, Quinn surprised me again! While this book is a sequel of sorts to "Ishmael," it is easily read on its own and effectively conveys Quinn's central ideas.

I haven't written a book report since college but WOW! I started reading Daniel Quinn’s “Beyond Civilization” this week and couldn’t put it down until I finished it. What a refreshing book! I find that it’s very easy to find criticism of our civilization but practical solutions are rare. I enjoy burner culture so much because it actually presents working solutions that don’t consist of dropping out of society and joining a hippy commune.

I first read Quinn’s earlier book, “Story of B,”... read more

There is an awesome dance, called the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, which is making the rounds across the net. Considering the tight coordination required, their accomplishment is nothing short of amazing, even if they were not all deaf. Yes, ... read more

Tom Robbins expresses the truth much more exquisitely than I can hope to. I had to share! LOVING this book btw! (Oh snap, another blog!)

Every nutritious sexual recipe calls for at least a pinch of love, and the fucks that rate four-star rankings from both gourmets and health-food nuts use cupfuls. Not that sex should be regarded as therapeutic or to be taken for medicinal purposes---only a dullard would hang such a millstone around the nibbled neck of a la... read more
