That was the original May holiday and why it was chosen as a holiday.

They are almost gone this generation referred to as the "Greatest Generation".
They are, I believe, the last to truly leave the world a better place, that they put their own lives aside as if to offer them up for a greater human cause.
They knew sacrifice in such noble terms and in selfless ways. Ways hard to understand by todays standards. Hard for me to understand from my own experience and reference.

Addicts don't like to talk about their life. It's often not a pretty picture. A picture best covered over, shrouded. As with a veil.

I've been blessed in many ways. Many of my greatest gifts come from my childhood as I was born into a very loving family.
