i have known senor Von Darkside du zMirror (not his real name by the way) since we met in college an undisclosed number of years ago at the university of colorado boulder. i will say this: i doubt that any of you will ever achieve the liquidity of motion, and hyper-real connection with nature via the medium of concrete such as zMirror has achieved in his incarnation as a balls to the wall skater (yes, *skateboarding*). having spent a lot of time trailing him down insanely steep and dangerous runs i can attest to his sound and instinctual snap decisions. if there is ever open and random warfare, zMirror will come through just fine. despite the finely tuned and sharp fanged instinct for self preservation and survival which one finds here, this individual is somewhat of a surprise in that he has dovetailed his ballsy approach to life with his love of art and in doing so has wed the cunning of the fox to the sensitivity and sensibility of the true artist. by achieving this difficult feat and sidestepping the usual deal breaking pitfalls to becoming an artist (i.e. becoming a pussy) senor Von Darkside du zMirror receives the highest marks possible on my scale of originality, perspicacity, and overall outragousness...and he's a fucking hell of a surfer too.
