What is there to say about this woman that hasn't been said? I dunnno, but I'll try!!! A rockin' bundle of fun and energy, too mischievious to not get caught; too cute to really get in trouble. Spreading warmth and hospitality to anyone and everyone, she's the sister you always wanted. Did I mention I met her bellydancing? She's a kick-butt dancer too!

Time changes things and... this is the time for me purge and share. I am having a boutique type sale (is that a fancy word for garage sale?- sort of - but we can also hang out and have a little fun!) in my home this Friday and Saturday! Do you know how much stuff you collect after 19 years of dance... and 40+ years of life in general... !?!? Gently used & well cared for items of clothing (street clothing too), jewelry, costuming and more.... who knows what will end up ... read more

NEWS FLASH>>> Urban Gypsy Intermediate Classes have MOVED TO THURSDAY! 7:45pm>9:15pm...
The next 4 week session begins this week! Yusefina ( yusefina.com/Gallery.html ) will be teaching a BRAND NEW Tribal'esque Choreography... It is absolutely suitable for group or solo performance... and rumor has it there is a little veil in this one! Everyone in the class (who is interested in putting it on the stage) will be invited to perform this piece at an upcoming Banjaran Salon at Avant Garden... how fun is that? NO need to know the UG vocabulary or have any tribal background at all to take this series of classes!! Just bring your smile and knowledge of belly dance basics with you! The series of four (4) 90 minute classes is $70.. drop ins are $20. No need to pre-register. Please show up 5 minutes early for your first class to sign up. (Cash or check only, please.) pssstt..... AND you get the 10% early bird discount... !!!!!!!!! This won't be advertised... but you folks have asked... And Tribe provides! So, here are our terms. Special just for those that read it here! 2009….. www.3rdcoasttribal.us/instructors.html Layaway... 3 checks is fine.. As long as the total is over 200$ ( not worth the trouble to finance 100... ya know?) all mailed at once - all dated w/in 2 months of the reg date. like this ... you register on line May 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th... mail all 3 checks on May 11th... 1st dated 5/10 2nd dated 6/10 3rd dated 7/10 - 10th of each month – an easy number to remember… right? When you register – fyi the link will be up on May 8th – just click “pay by check” and send your checks as suggested above. that will make it "organized"… faboooo! paid in full w/in 2 months... clear...yes? mmm-kay? I deposit as dated.... the nasty ...but necessary bits... we are adults, a courtesy is extended... bounced checks are just plain rude ... and that's not nice - return fees will be passed on and classes will be canceled. this sounds great... Banjaran Salon Welcomes members of Empyrean Fire Tribe....and more fab'n freaky guest spinners from the Houston area.... It's July in Houston... the fire works will be over....but it will still be HOT ! We are bringing you Belly Dance and Fire performance! Urban Gypsy is bringing some things to the stage you haven't seen in a long while and some things you've NEVER seen before! Yusefina's & her students will be debuting a drum solo, Amiya with sword, Jala in lovely sequins and beads, some crazy veil, spinning skirts.. and so many shimmies! Second Tuesdays... party.... party..... party.... ... mark your calendars... Banjaran Salon, Always Featuring Urban Gypsy and Friends Avant Garden (formerly Helios) @ 411 Wssteimer 8pm upstairs.... outside later..
